    Assist with personal hygiene and preventative skin care

    Collect and record vital signs, height, weight, and fluid intake/output

    Change bedding, incontinence pads, and briefs; maintain a clean and safe patient environment

    Document patient care and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff

    Escort patients as needed and assist during doctor’s rounds or sick calls

    Respond to emergencies, including performing CPR when necessary

    Communicate with patients to assess and support their needs

    Review and follow shift reports for continuity of care

    Support healthcare staff and perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry

    Current CPR Certification

    Minimum of 6 months of work experience as an STNA

    Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care

    Ability to lift, move, and reposition patients safely

    Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if required by unit

    Preferred:

    We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our patient care team. In this role, you will provide high-quality support during dialysis treatments, assist RNs, and ensure patients receive safe and effective care in a professional environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare dialysate according to established procedures and patient prescriptions

    Obtain and document pre- and post-dialysis vital signs, including weight and temperature

    Inspect dialysis access and initiate dialysis treatments per protocol

    Monitor patient condition and equipment, respond to alarms, and adjust treatment parameters as needed

    Administer anticoagulants and other medications according to protocol and prescription

    Respond to dialysis-related emergencies, including hypotensive episodes, needle displacement, clotting, and blood leaks; initiate CPR if required

    Discontinue dialysis, establish hemostasis, and care for access sites following protocol

    Collect and prepare specimens for testing and manage fluid samples

    Maintain and sanitize dialysis equipment according to unit and manufacturer protocols

    Document patient treatments and communicate conditions to RNs and other healthcare staff

    Provide patient education and support regarding treatment and care

    Assist nursing staff with basic treatments and procedures

    Participate in quality assurance, cost containment, and regulatory compliance initiatives (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA)

    Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    Must have a valid Dialysis Technician License

    Must have current CPR/BLS certification

    Completion of a dialysis technician training program or relevant clinical experience

    Knowledge of dialysis procedures, patient monitoring, and equipment operation

    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately

    Excellent communication skills and professionalism

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    Basic computer skills for EMR documentation
