Engineer will be responsible for research, systems integration, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Engineer will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of 2 to 5 entry-level design engineers for the duration of an assigned project. Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Sensor Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft. Electrical design engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms. Essential Functions: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create and review system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools, such as Capital Harness or NX. Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost Lead a small team of electrical design engineers to implement electronic subsystems by breaking down requirements and work packages, providing drawing status, and budget estimates to platform leads. Train and mentor junior engineers Learn and become familiar with L3Harris Technical Process Specifications and related design practices and methodologies Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
