OVERVIEW
As the Vice President of Research & Development, you will lead the R&D strategy and execution for Shark’s Home Environment and Non-Robotic Floorcare categories, ensuring strong alignment to business priorities and delivery of high-quality, innovative products.
You will be responsible for translating company and category strategy into a focused R&D and technology roadmap, driving execution across programs and ensuring delivery of 5-star products that meet performance, cost, and timeline expectations.

The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We are the “product CEOs” and partner cross-functionally with almost every other team within the company to drive high satisfaction for our end user and to drive business results. The Director - Product Development is a senior-level category owner who will drive a cross-functional team to deliver against consumer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability targets for their assigned category. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully deliver 5-star products to market while also collaborating on the business and go-to-market strategy with key partners across the organization. The role reports to the VP Product Development.
Responsibilities:
Support the Ninja business and the VP/SVP, Product Development with the development of successful and profitable programs for a full product category to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio – you will lead new product development (creation and management) of assigned product category from brainstorm phase through mass production, as well as partner with the VP/SVP to define the over-arching category roadmap direction to a team of product developers from entry through manager level. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team’s deliverables. Lead, manage, and grow team members (from Intern up to Manager level) within the organization – providing guidance on their assigned projects, ensuring product success, supporting professional advancement within their role and within SharkNinja, and holding them accountable to their specific job responsibilities. You will be viewed as an “expert” people manager who has proficiency navigating people, conflict, and resource management. Drive the definition and development of product specifications, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and new/flagship product technologies as the primary consumer advocate Steer the development of user-relevant design targets for product performance and user experience – and act as the beacon of these targets to the cross-functional team of engineers, industrial designers, and commercial marketers Partner with SharkNinja’s Consumer Insights team to develop consumer testing objectives, and implement this consumer-driven feedback into product specifications and design iterations throughout the project development cycle Partner with SharkNinja’s testing and quality organizations to define, develop and manage quality and performance testing procedures Manage product cost structure, reporting, and cost rationalization exercises – and collaborate with supply chain, merchandising, and supply planning teams on product sourcing strategy recommendations Provide direction and oversight into the creation and execution of go-to-market collateral to support product launch, including instructional material and consumer-facing product specification information Provide direction and oversight into the development of product troubleshooting and “FAQs” to support a 5-star consumer experience post-purchase Act as the product and/or category “expert” for cross-functional team member questions and concerns Be called upon to take leadership of larger cross-functional “breakthroughs” that increase executive visibility and accelerate career growth.Qualifications:

The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. Responsibilities:
Support the SharkNinja business onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio – you will assist in leading new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production, as well as partner with leadership to define the over-arching category direction to a team of product developers. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team’s deliverables. Define, develop, and iterate product specifications, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and product technologies as the primary consumer advocate. Take ownership of your assigned categories’ sales performance – partnering with others in the company to identify what products are working/not working; and recommend new product opportunities to fill those gaps. Lead competitive product analyses, giving your business partners insight into how Shark stacks up against the competition - and maintaining a clear lens on how we can constantly improve to make Shark the consumer’s top choice every time. Be the voice of our legacy product lines: share insights and learnings from consumers and the market with Product Developers focused on NPD to ensure critical features and feedback are incorporated into next generation products. Senior Innovation Technical Project Manager (iTPM)

Where New Products Begin
Before a product gets a name, a launch date, or a development budget, it has to survive the hardest phase of all: early-stage innovation. The ideas are ambitious, the constraints are real, and the path forward is rarely obvious. This is exactly where the Innovation Technical Project Manager operates — and it's one of the most consequential roles in SharkNinja's product organization.
As iTPM, you'll sit at the center of the Technology Incubation Group, driving early-stage programs from initial vision through prototype — the phase where the most important decisions get made and the most value gets created or destroyed. This is not a coordination role. It's a senior leadership position with real accountability, real authority, and direct access to the most senior levels of the business.
What You'll Own
You're the single accountable owner of your programs from Vision through prototype handoff to the NPD group. That means you define what's being built, why it matters commercially, and hold a global cross-functional organization to schedule and cost from day one.
In practice, that looks like:
Building and maintaining integrated master program schedules across all workstreams — mechanical, electrical, firmware, industrial design, and commercial readiness Driving alignment on product direction across engineering, design, commercial, finance, and supply chain teams globally Leading structured milestone reviews at Vision, V0, P1, and P2 — preparing materials, facilitating decisions, and ensuring clear documented outcomes Owning the risk register from day one: identifying, escalating, and resolving critical path risks before they hit cost or timeline Serving as the primary interface between the Innovation TPM team and the NPD PMO, enabling clean, structured handoffs at P2 Delivering sharp, accurate program updates to executive leadership — bringing clarity and structure to high-pressure, ambiguous situations Contributing to the continuous improvement of SharkNinja's early-stage iTPM playbookWhat You Bring
You have an engineering background and the commercial instincts to match. You can interrogate a mechanical design, read a programme schedule, and challenge a strategic decision — all in the same morning. You're at your best when the problem is unstructured and the stakes are high.

The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. Responsibilities:
Support the SharkNinja business onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio – you will assist in leading new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production, as well as partner with leadership to define the over-arching category direction to a team of product developers. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team’s deliverables. Define, develop, and iterate product specifications, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and product technologies as the primary consumer advocate. Take ownership of your assigned categories’ sales performance – partnering with others in the company to identify what products are working/not working; and recommend new product opportunities to fill those gaps. Lead competitive product analyses, giving your business partners insight into how Shark stacks up against the competition - and maintaining a clear lens on how we can constantly improve to make Shark the consumer’s top choice every time. Be the voice of our legacy product lines: share insights and learnings from consumers and the market with Product Developers focused on NPD to ensure critical features and feedback are incorporated into next generation products. Partner with SharkNinja Testing and Quality organizations to define, develop, and manage quality and performance testing procedures. Act as the product “expert” for cross-functional team member questions and concerns.

OVERVIEW
As the Vice President of Research & Development, you will lead the R&D strategy and execution for Shark’s Home Environment and Non-Robotic Floorcare categories, ensuring strong alignment to business priorities and delivery of high-quality, innovative products.
You will be responsible for translating company and category strategy into a focused R&D and technology roadmap, driving execution across programs and ensuring delivery of 5-star products that meet performance, cost, and timeline expectations.
You will play a key leadership role within Engineering, partnering closely with Category, Design, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment, prioritization, and successful product delivery. You will also lead and develop a high-performing global R&D organization, building strong technical capability and leadership depth within your teams.
