Position Overview: This role is an essential part of the school community, helping to support the daily operations of the cafeteria. Key duties include assisting with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining a clean and orderly dining environment, and providing friendly, efficient service to students and staff. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Support meal preparation in accordance with established recipes and portion standards. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure meals are safe and high-quality. Meal Service: Serve meals to students and staff courteously and efficiently. Adhere to portion control guidelines to reduce waste and ensure fair distribution. Cleanliness & Organization: Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, sanitized, and well-organized. Regularly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment. Properly dispose of waste and follow recycling procedures. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other cafeteria team members to maintain smooth operations. Communicate clearly with all kitchen and cafeteria staff. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass required state and federal background checks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Physically able to stand for long periods and move efficiently as needed.
