    SA-TECH has been supporting the US Navy's mission at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Point Mugu as a prime contractor since 2008. Our responsibilities encompass operating and performing operational-, intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance for aerial and seaborne assets in support of weapon systems test and evaluation and fleet training exercises. We manage all stages of aerial and seaborne target assets’ operational progression from initial inspection and configuration through deployment, return and post-operation maintenance and repair. We provide management, scheduling and execution of aerial and seaborne target operations; operation and maintenance of target recovery vessels (Aerial Vehicle Recovery [AVRs]); asset maintenance and depot repair; depot engineering assistance; recovery of aerial and seaborne assets; inventory management; and management of Government-furnished facilities, materials, vehicles and equipment.


    SA-TECH personnel perform commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) to Remote Control conversion to meet PMS-325 production goals for the Seaborne Targets Externally Directed Team (STEDT). We also provide target control system operation and management, and set-up, test and operate assets for System for Naval Target Control (SNTC) and Portable Command and Control Unit (PCCU) support at local and deployed locations.


    We are currently seeking to hire a detail-oriented and highly skilled Electronics Assembly Technician (Electronics Technician, Maintenance III) to join our dynamic team in a part-time capacity (about 9 hours a week). In this role, you will play a critical part in the fabrication and assembly of high-performance electronic components and systems used in advanced air vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soldering, circuit board assembly and harness fabrication, along with a keen eye for quality and precision.

    The following are basic requirements but other duties may be added as needed:

    Fabricate and assemble wiring harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and coaxial cables in accordance with engineering specifications for integration into air vehicle platforms.Operate a range of electronic assembly equipment including soldering stations, rework stations, microscopes, heat guns, crimping tools, and related tools with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.Assemble complex harness configurations involving thru-hole, surface mount technology (SMT), and intricate interconnection schemes.Perform manual assembly of printed circuit boards using SMT processes, ensuring optimal placement and alignment of components.Assemble thru-hole PCBs using both manual and wave soldering techniques to ensure robust mechanical and electrical connections.Interpret and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to fabricate and electrically verify harness assemblies to meet design and quality standards.Perform functional checks and inspections of completed assemblies, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

    Work Conditions:

    Most work will be accomplished in a fast-paced office environment utilizing phone, fax, and desktop computer.Ability to lift 30lbs. unassisted.Position includes: 80% sitting, 5% reaching, 5% lifting, 5% walking and 5% standing.No remote work available.Office hours are from 6am - 3:30pm.Requirements:

    Education/Experience/Skills:

    High School diploma or equivalent.A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, to preferably include aircraft and instrumentation experience.Demonstrable thru-hole, SMT and interconnection skills.Ability to use manual as well as wave soldering techniques.For wiring, electronics, and instrumentation duties, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is preferred.Possess a strong basic avionics/electronics background.Must be knowledgeable in testing systems and components to ensure functionality in accordance with procedures defined in NAVAIR manuals using specified test equipment.Work requirement includes using hand tools, power tools, and engine and electronics test equipment.Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Computer / Networking I MS Office.Ability to pass an Industrial I FAA Class 3 or comparable physical (such as a commercial driver license physical).Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

    In this role, you'll perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.


    The following are typical job functions but other duties may also be assigned:

    Work within the branch Material Control Center and use, maintain, and possibly improve our proprietary inventory control tool to manage all branch procurements, material tracking, ordering, hardware inventory, and material stock. This would include Fabrication and Structures hardware, supplies, sheet metal, gauges, HAZMAT and other needed items.Have full responsibility for MIB metal inventory and hardware inventory.Stand up a Ready Issue Annex in MIB spaces.Maintain database and inventory to manage high/low levels.Submit procurements for approval to maintain sufficient stock.Interface with design engineers and check future designs part lists with current stock levels and availability - submit procurements for items that are low or not in stock.Receive stock from supply and distribute/restock as necessary.Maintain MIB forms and documents as well as assist Section Head and Branch Head with tracking expenditures and branch costs.Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy; follow up on discrepancies with the initiating department; identify available suppliers for each requisitioned item.Organize and maintain computerized records containing vendor and bid information.     SA-TECH has supported instrumentation efforts of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Prototyping, Instrumentation, and Experimentation (PIE) Group and the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Airborne Instrumentation Systems Division (AISD) since September 2015. Our support encompasses the full spectrum of instrumentation from design (engineering and drafting) to fabrication and installation, to the day-to-day support (calibration, pre-flight support for Test/Evaluation, post-flight support). The breadth of customers that we support ranges from U.S. DoD and partner nations to the occasional support of commercial projects for industry partners as well as the entertainment industry. Work is performed at three geographically separate locations: Patuxent River, Maryland; China Lake, California; and Point Mugu, California.


    SA-TECH is currently looking to hire a Project Analyst to support the Mechanical Instrumentation Branch (MIB) for our facility at NAS Patuxent River, MD.


    In this role, you will (among other duties):

    Coordinate project reviews with project leads and the branch head.Manage the project high-level schedules with detailed project data for reporting and providing historical data.Create a Master Project Schedule for the branch from individual high level schedules.Create and pull customized branch reports from SharePoint.Update the Project Status Metrics page in SharePoint weekly.Ensure SharePoint project information pages are maintained with status updates, project phase changes, documentation, etc.Track project funding with Business Finance Managers, using Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP).Compile documentation and create Technical Data Packages (TDPs).Assist project leads with compiling data and creating PowerPoint presentations for the Project Management Board (PMB).Enables AID leadership to brief higher levels of leadership.

    SA-TECH is currently hiring a Ground Support Equipment Servicer to diagnose, repair and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) for our classified program at the Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA.


    Our GSE Servicer will perform, under direct and indirect supervision, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on GSE. Our Servicer will diagnose all system components (including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical) in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations and guided by technical manuals. You will use automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records and document all maintenance actions.

    Work Conditions:

    At the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, MD, SA-TECH supports the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID) of the Prototyping, Experimentation, and Instrumentation (PIE) Department and we are currently looking to hire a General Technician I-II to support the Structures Lab with fabrication, installation and support of sensors (thermocouples, potentiometers, accelerometers) on test articles for various aircraft and non-aircraft platforms.


    This technician will perform general engineering support functions for wiring, sheet metal, electronics, drafting, instrumentation, structures, or machining disciplines and will assist more senior Engineering Techs and Engineers on projects by gathering materials and equipment from source locations and delivering to work/test locations and returning items to proper locations. The Technician must demonstrate the ability to perform a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties and will receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher level-technicians. The technician’s work is reviewed at initiation for proper technique, and monitored for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. You may also be asked to provide visitor control support as needed.


    In this role, you will perform one or a combination of such typical duties as:

    Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, recording test data.Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.Conducting computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs.

    The following job functions are a basic requirement (and are not limited to these and other duties may be assigned):

    Work with engineers and customers to design/develop/install aircraft strain gage and thermocouple sensors.Work with engineers and other technicians to fabricate and setup A/C structural testing frames.Provide instrumented items to QA for inspection.Occasional travel may be required
