SA-TECH has been supporting the US Navy's mission at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Point Mugu as a prime contractor since 2008. Our responsibilities encompass operating and performing operational-, intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance for aerial and seaborne assets in support of weapon systems test and evaluation and fleet training exercises. We manage all stages of aerial and seaborne target assets’ operational progression from initial inspection and configuration through deployment, return and post-operation maintenance and repair. We provide management, scheduling and execution of aerial and seaborne target operations; operation and maintenance of target recovery vessels (Aerial Vehicle Recovery [AVRs]); asset maintenance and depot repair; depot engineering assistance; recovery of aerial and seaborne assets; inventory management; and management of Government-furnished facilities, materials, vehicles and equipment. SA-TECH personnel perform commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) to Remote Control conversion to meet PMS-325 production goals for the Seaborne Targets Externally Directed Team (STEDT). We also provide target control system operation and management, and set-up, test and operation of assets for System for Naval Target Control (SNTC) and Portable Command and Control Unit (PCCU) support at local and deployed locations.
SA-TECH is currently hiring an Aircraft Mechanic I to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness. This position will be located at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA and other designated aerial target operating sites.
The following job functions are basic requirements but other tasks may be added, as needed.The Aircraft Mechanic (Airframe and/or Power Plant) will perform target build-up, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, target decontamination, repair and complete inspections required by proper operations manuals under supervision.Maintenance work on BQM-34, 177, 74 aerial targets.Work will include work/teardown of different types of non-afterburning turbojet engines used in aerial targets and/or work on the target airframe and assist on electronics and avionics equipment.Ability to learn to test targets and components to ensure functionality in accordance with procedures defined in NAVAIR manuals using specified test equipment.Disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassemble and install engine in aerial targets.Operate and be qualified (technically and medically) in forklift operations and overhead crane operations.May conduct preventive maintenance in maintaining the airframe, power plant and avionics of various targets.Could involve direct support to BQM-34,177, and 74 target operations by assisting in target build-up, target transportation, and target decontamination processes.Qualified in the handling and use of associated ordnance in support of target operations. This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The basic duties of the position include (but are not limited to):Performs fabrication, installation and operational support of instrumentation systems and wiring harnesses on various aircraft and test articles. This position utilizes wiring diagrams and technical information provided by engineers and senior technicians to independently fabricate the instrumentation system racks and wiring harnesses, including installation.Performs pre-flight and post-flight operational checks on instrumentation systems prior to, and following, test flights. Work assigned at this level is typically more complex and of larger scope requiring coordination of multiple instrumentation engineering technicians working on multiple large-scale tasks. At the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, MD, SA-TECH supports the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID) of the Prototyping, Experimentation, and Instrumentation (PIE) Department and we are currently looking to hire an Instrumentation Technician III-IV to provide project leadership for aircraft instrumentation and wiring support activities.
The basic duties of the position include (but are not limited to):Manages/leads a variety of instrumentation and wiring projects for VX-23.Performs fabrication, installation and operational support of instrumentation systems and wiring harnesses on various aircraft and test articles. This position utilizes wiring diagrams and technical information provided by engineers and senior technicians to independently fabricate the instrumentation system racks and wiring harnesses, including installation.Performs pre-flight and post-flight operational checks on instrumentation systems prior to, and following, test flights. Provides support during aircraft measurement calibrations as required. The ability to interface regularly with Government BFMs, Contracts Specialist, and the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) while executing Contract deliverables, Financials, and Procurement activities will be critical to success in this role.
Specific duties include (other duties may be added):Manage a team of administrative personnel who support and perform functions as required/directed. This high-functioning team includes buyers responsible for procurement of a multitude of items in support of aerial and seaborne operations as well as to direct government departments like the Integrated Product Team (IPT).Perform data collection, organize and analyze information, and create contract performance and cost/financial reports. Maintain a wide variety of financial records and analyze/track budgeted, forecast, and actual contract costs, to include bi-weekly invoices, monthly CDRLs, and annual summaries. Prepare project status reports, project labor summaries, and non-labor summaries and process labor hour and cost adjustments and track issues related to the adjustment. Prepare, receive, and evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Assist in writing and preparing contract options for all work (subcontract) not defined in the base contract. Research and prepare required pricing evaluations and labor rate comparisons for subcontracts. Create Sole Source Justification and Approval documents.Maintain and categorize auditable records of all overtime hours expended on contract and prepare data for equitable adjustment requests. Update and submit all monthly and annual financial Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) to PTMO Contracts Officer Representative (PTMO COR). Assist/manage Human Relations (HR) functions for the contract, including aiding of in-processing new employees, assisting employees with security forms, maintaining employee records, auditing employee timesheet submissions, assisting employees with payroll and benefits questions and issues. SA-TECH has been supporting the US Navy's mission at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Point Mugu as a prime contractor since 2008. Our responsibilities encompass operating and performing operational-, intermediate-, and depot-level maintenance for aerial and seaborne assets in support of weapon systems test and evaluation and fleet training exercises. We manage all stages of aerial and seaborne target assets’ operational progression from initial inspection and configuration through deployment, return and post-operation maintenance and repair. We provide management, scheduling and execution of aerial and seaborne target operations; operation and maintenance of target recovery vessels (Aerial Vehicle Recovery [AVRs]); asset maintenance and depot repair; depot engineering assistance; recovery of aerial and seaborne assets; inventory management; and management of Government-furnished facilities, materials, vehicles and equipment.
SA-TECH personnel perform commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) to Remote Control conversion to meet PMS-325 production goals for the Seaborne Targets Externally Directed Team (STEDT). We also provide target control system operation and management, and set-up, test and operate assets for System for Naval Target Control (SNTC) and Portable Command and Control Unit (PCCU) support at local and deployed locations.
SA-TECH is currently hiring an Electronics Technician, Maintenance I to perform various electronics and avionics tasks on aerial target systems and subsystems (BQM-34, BQM-177, or BQM-74 Targets) at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA and other designated aerial target operating sites.
The Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.
The following are basic requirements but other duties may be added as needed:Under limited supervision, the incumbent applies technical working knowledge to perform tasks on various types of electronics and avionics work on aerial target systems and subsystems (BQM-34, BQM-177, or BQM-74 Targets). Assist higher level technicians or assuming lead positions in activities such as build-up or replacing aerial target components, wiring harnesses/circuits, troubleshooting systems and subsystems.Repair simple electronic equipment; using tools and common test equipment; and receiving technical guidance, as required, from the supervisor or higher level technicians. Will be required to maintain equipment logs, maintenance action forms and work-time tracking sheets. Will work with small cads (pyro technic devices) and targets-specific rocket motors (JATO). Will also need the ability to learn aerial target launch pad evolutions both at Pt. Mugu and deployed sitesWork Conditions:The working conditions will vary although most of the work will be accomplished in enclosed buildings. There will be work on the range throughout the year so temperatures will vary. Travel is required. Work activities will include 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, and 5% lifting. Must be capable of lifting 50-100 pounds assisted by other employees.The position requires following OSHA and Navy mandated safety guidelines with specific periods of use for safety glasses, outdoor use of respirator, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and possible fork lift license.Will require other specific driver’s license or operator qualifications for targets-specific support.Requirements:Education/Experience/Skills:High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in performing systems Operations & Maintenance (4790 Maintenance experience desired).Possess a strong basic avionics/electronics Work requirement includes using hand tools, power tools, and engine and electronics test equipment. Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Computer / Networking I MS Office.Must be knowledgeable in testing systems and components to ensure functionality in accordance with procedures defined in NAVAIR manuals using specified test equipment. Work requirement includes using hand tools, power tools, and engine and electronic test equipment. Ability to pass an Industrial I FAA Class 3 or comparable physical (such as a commercial driver license physical).Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
