We are currently seeking to hire an Deputy Aerial Manager at our Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA facility to support day-to-day activities of NAWCWD Target O&M operations at Pt. Mugu and other designated aerial and seaborne target operating sites.
The primary duties of this position typically include (but are not limited to):
Serve as deputy manager of aerial targets functional area, supporting day-to-day activities of NAWCWD Target O&M operations at Pt. Mugu and other designated aerial and seaborne target operating sites.Support the Aerial Targets Manager in the full spectrum of target operations and maintenance. Responsible for target maintenance actions and tracking through our proprietary management system (OOMA-like). Requires knowledge in aircraft maintenance procedures (NAVAIR 4790 series), configuration control, inventory management, QA procedures, and Support Equipment (SE). Develop and publish a monthly maintenance plan to include scheduled maintenance, training qualification tracking, and METCAL actions.Coordinate and support logistics/movement to include scheduling vehicles/trucks and transport targets in support of operations in target locations within CONUS and OCONUS, i.e. China Lake, WSMR, PRMF, Scotland etc.Read, understand, and support SOPs in support of aerial operations.Work short- and long-term issues with OEM contractors, US government and Navy Supply system to support new and end-of-service target systems. Provide support to inventory management of property, purchasing, asset staging, issue, material kitting, as well as the maintenance/disposal of hazardous material, and shipping functions.Familiarity with all OSHA/CAL-OSHA requirements for hazard material acquisition, storage and disposal.Work Conditions:

The primary duties of this position typically include (but are not limited to):
Maintain, repair, and document Support Equipment (SE) PMS, which include target maintenance stands and transport devices, launch equipment, as well as ancillary equipment such as generators and compressors.Operate and be qualified (technically and medically) in forklift operations and overhead crane operations.Perform under direct and indirect supervision, conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on support equipment and/or targets and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques. We are currently looking to hire a Material Coordinator to perform aspects of technical supply management work.
Supply management work is related to the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities and/or the assembly and delivery of aircraft component kits. This work usually is complex and can cross commodity areas or functions, and varies in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
In this role, you will review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. You will also arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and coordinate with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments. You'll also be responsible for examining material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.
As a Material Coordinator, you may monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor systems using remote-control panel boards and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using an adding machine. You'll be responsible for compiling reports of quantity and type of material on hand, moving or transporting material from one department to another using hand or industrial trucks and for compiling perpetual production records in order to locate material in the process of production, using manual or computerized systems. You'll also maintain employee records.

This technician will perform general engineering support functions for wiring, sheet metal, electronics, drafting, instrumentation, structures, or machining disciplines and will assist more senior Engineering Techs and Engineers on projects by gathering materials and equipment from source locations and delivering to work/test locations and returning items to proper locations. The Technician must demonstrate the ability to perform a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties and will receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher level-technicians. At the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at NAS Patuxent River, MD, SA-TECH supports the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID) of the Prototyping, Experimentation, and Instrumentation (PIE) Department and we are currently looking to hire a General Technician I-II to support F-35 with fabrication, installation and operational support of instrumentation systems and wiring harnesses on various aircraft and test articles.
This technician will perform general engineering support functions for wiring, sheet metal, electronics, drafting, instrumentation, structures, or machining disciplines and will assist Senior Engineering Techs and Engineers on projects by gathering materials and equipment from source locations and delivering to work/test locations and returning items to proper locations. The Technician must demonstrate the ability to perform a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties and will receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher level-technicians. The technician’s work is reviewed at initiation for proper technique, and monitored for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. You may also be asked to provide visitor control support as needed.
In this role, you will perform one or a combination of such typical duties as:
Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, recording test data.Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.Conducting computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs.Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
Preflight, post flight F-35 platform, as well as flight test pods and ground support equipment (test carts, DRODI vans)Wire various instrumentation packagesWire various platforms; follow VX-23 and AID processes and procedures.Aid the instrumentation operations engineers by maintaining, installing, calibrating, testing and troubleshooting F-35 instrumentation systems.Support on-aircraft ground testing.Perform instrumentation pre-flights, post-flights and test flight support (including loading and removing data cartridges and delivering them to data processing).Some testing may be done at other test facilities and carriers, so some travel is required.Perform work in the Instrumentation Lab (troubleshooting, installing and checking out instrumentation systems).Conform to AVMI and LM FOD and tool control policies and all facets of security (physical, Automated Information System (AIS), document control, Communications Security (COMSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and security education requirements) as well as instrumentation quality assurance inspections.Work Conditions:

At the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), SA-TECH performs operational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance for aerial and seaborne assets in support of weapon systems test and evaluation and fleet training exercises. We manage all stages of aerial and seaborne target assets’ operational progression from initial inspection and configuration through deployment, return and post-operation maintenance and repair. We provide management, scheduling and execution of aerial and seaborne target operations; operation and maintenance of target recovery vessels (Aerial Vehicle Recovery [AVRs]); asset maintenance and depot repair; depot engineering assistance; recovery of aerial and seaborne assets; inventory management; and management of Government-furnished facilities, materials, vehicles and equipment.
We are currently looking to hire a talented Ground Support Equipment Mechanic (GSEM) to diagnose, repair and maintain ground support equipment at our facilities at Naval Air Station Point Mugu, CA.
In this position, you will have the following basic duties (although other duties may be added):
Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE).Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems.Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions related fault codes etc., in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations.Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.Other Duties may include (but are not limited to):
