At the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, MD, SA-TECH supports the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID) of the Prototyping, Experimentation, and Instrumentation (PIE) Department. We are currently looking to hire a Supply Technician to perform technical supply management in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you'll perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. Our GSE Servicer will perform, under direct and indirect supervision, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on GSE. Our Servicer will diagnose all system components (including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical) in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations and guided by technical manuals. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the accurate data collection, processing, reporting, and presenting of antenna gain and RCS data. You will also have the opportunity to formulate and execute new and improved concepts, theories, and techniques of advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms.

At Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA, SA-TECH has an immediate and critical need for a Senior Operations Director (UAS Operations) to support ongoing and upcoming Navy test and evaluation programs, with a specific and significant focus on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations. This individual will be instrumental in the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of complex test events aimed at integrating cutting-edge UAS technologies into naval capabilities.
Our Senior Operations Director will serve as a key UAS technical and mission expert. This role requires practical experience in UAS operations, including flight testing, data collection, and system analysis. The candidate will work closely with Navy program offices, test organizations, system developers, and operational commands to ensure rigorous testing and accurate valuation of new and evolving UAS platforms and associated payloads.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will work with technicians and engineers on all platforms in advancing the capabilities of onboard instrumentation systems (RDTE).
This position is an instrumentation support role within the Research, Development, and Technical Leadership Branch (AD4160) ASG team. The individual in this role must be familiar with aircraft instrumentation systems and knowledgeable of the effectiveness and execution of ASG processes and operations. You must be able to manage instrumentation hardware and software configurations, demonstrate the ability to set priorities, and meet deadlines within shifting schedules. This requires knowledge of aircraft instrumentation hardware testing, configuration, and troubleshooting. To be successful in this role, you must be experienced in a wide variety of aircraft instrumentation hardware and their uses to support flight test programs. The position requires a thorough understanding of test equipment and electronics principles and experience doing solder work and other bench work related to the instrumentation field AND experience with Systems Administration would be very beneficial.

Responsible for the overall configuration and support of test instrumentation utilized at the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID). Responsible to follow all AID TSOPs (Technical Standard Operating Procedures), NAMP (Naval Aviation Maintenance Program) procedures. Coordinates and directs project efforts of team members including supporting shops and laboratories, formulating and overseeing the testing of instrumentation hardware. Performs tests and experiments on data acquisition systems to provide and improve existing systems, and to lay the groundwork for future engineering information on which new system selection can be based. Investigates new and innovative applications of components to systems, modifies systems or components to improve performance, and manages data acquisition equipment inventory as applicable to the requirements of the larger number of users and variety of programs that are supported by the AID.May represents the division in instrumentation planning meetings with engineers, contractor instrumentation and project engineers, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM), and other government agencies' technical personnel. At the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, MD, SA-TECH supports the Aircraft Instrumentation Division (AID) of the Prototyping, Experimentation, and Instrumentation (PIE) Department and we are currently looking to hire a General Technician I-II to support the Structures Lab with fabrication, installation and support of sensors (thermocouples, potentiometers, accelerometers) on test articles for various aircraft and non-aircraft platforms.
This technician will perform general engineering support functions for wiring, sheet metal, electronics, drafting, instrumentation, structures, or machining disciplines and will assist more senior Engineering Techs and Engineers on projects by gathering materials and equipment from source locations and delivering to work/test locations and returning items to proper locations. The Technician must demonstrate the ability to perform a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties and will receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher level-technicians. The technician’s work is reviewed at initiation for proper technique, and monitored for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. You may also be asked to provide visitor control support as needed.
In this role, you will perform one or a combination of such typical duties as:
Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, recording test data.Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.Conducting computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs.The following job functions are a basic requirement (and are not limited to these and other duties may be assigned):
Work with engineers and customers to design/develop/install aircraft strain gage and thermocouple sensors.Work with engineers and other technicians to fabricate and setup A/C structural testing frames.Provide instrumented items to QA for inspection.Occasional travel may be requiredWork Conditions:
Conditions will vary but most of the work will be performed in enclosed buildings.Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted and 50-100 lbs. assisted by others.Working hours are 0530 to 1500 or 0600-1530 with a sporadic need to work flex hours and possibly some overtime.Requirements:Education/Experience/Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent.For wiring, electronics, and instrumentation duties, must obtain (and subsequently maintain) IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification within 60 days (Government-taught classes may be used if available).Basic knowledge of electronics, small circuits, and general tool use preferred.Basic computer skills, focusing on MS Office, would be a plus in this role.Ability to work well with people.Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.________________________________________________________________________
