SPECIFIC DUTIES: .
· Answer phone calls regarding packages, create TCON for follow up, investigate packets, and indicate status. For completed packages, scan all completed paperwork. Upload to HAIMS.
· Communicate with recruiter for associated military branch in order to resolve any administrative and/or paperwork issues.
· Ensure packet is properly signed out and completed and responded to emails regarding additional questions. If it is a packet follow up, notify the appropriate provider per standard operating procedure.
· Schedule all appointments and have all patients registered in MHS Genesis
· Submit lab tests ordered by the licensed provider into the appropriate medical system and inform recruiter via phone/email when the order is complete.
· Assist the Government representative in the verification of information on the sign-in/sign-out log for accountability of records and assist in the verification to ensure all packets are signed and completed by the applicants and recruiter.
· Create encounters for all applicants in the appropriate medical system. Document record according to clinic standard operating procedure. Create encounters for MEPS clinic appointments filling in scripted provider/clinical documentation as directed.
· Verify and print labs using electronic medical record to verify required labs.
· Verify prior-service applicants have all required paperwork, verify phase 1 was completed, scan all completed paperwork, and upload to same encounter in electronic medical record. Identify all applicants who need additional services and inform recruiters of additional needs.
· Assist the Government Representative in the verification that all packets are signed out or appropriate accounted for.
· Conduct medical examination briefing instructions for applicants.
· Document lab results in proper forms.
· Complete vital signs (BP, HR, height, and weight) are measured in accordance with the applicable instruction. If not within each service standard, BMI calculation needed with taping that has to be done three times. This get documented in special electronic calculator and average of three taping gives BMI. Complete intake for MEPS clinic appointments including but not limited to vital signs, medication reconciliation, armed forces eye exam, collection of all paperwork necessary for appointments.
· Document all neurological, vision, refraction, vitals during medical exam.
· Conduct vision tests to include color vision testing, distant and near vision, and depth perception.
· Transcribe hearing results from audiogram.
· Assist with Neurological examination.
· During group exam assist with ongoing/scribe documentation while provider performs exam.
· Prescription glasses auto refraction and documentation.
· Perform Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements as needed by direction.
· Perform Electrocardiograms (ECG) as needed by direction.
HOURS:
· Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between 0700 and 1700 depending on clinic.
· Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break, respectively.
· In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services in excess of eighty (80) hours per two-week period.
· No weekends or Federal Holidays.

Position Overview:
The Occupational Health Advanced care provider supports the 5th Medical Group at Minot AFB under a Defense Health Agency (DHA) personal services contract. This role provides comprehensive primary and occupational health care to active-duty Air Force personnel, including periodic health assessments, deployment-related health evaluations, and direct patient care across a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. The NP may serve as Primary Care Manager (PCM) for an assigned patient panel. The position offers a structured Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call requirements and malpractice coverage provided.
Position Qualifications / Requirements:
• Education: Master’s degree in nursing. Graduate from an academic program within the nursing specialty field of study accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Equivalency determinations may not be substituted for this education requirement.

Duties:
• The Advanced care provider shall provide occupational health care and primary care to
beneficiaries assigned to 5th Medical Group. These tasks include performing primary

• Care shall include but not be limited to continuing, comprehensive health maintenance
and provision of medical care, including preventive medicine, behavioral health, occupational health, and community health.
• The Advanced care provider may become the primary care manager (PCM) for a panel of
patients. As a PCM, the flight medicine physician will be the primary person
responsible for the management of the health and wellness of his/her assigned patients.
• Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Examination of patients, formulation of differential diagnostic plans, ordering of appropriate diagnostic testing.

professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is
relative to assigned cases and/or performance of services.
• Conduct special operational evaluations and determinations, including (but not
limited to):
1. Apply medical, fitness and profiling standards IAW AFIs 48-123, 36-2905 and
10-203 (including profiling and duty restrictions as Profile Officer).
2. Complete deployment health assessments IAW DHA policy.
3. The Flight and Operational Medicine Clinic Flight Commander will assign specific
duties/patient care assignments, and other duties deemed necessary.
• In addition to standard mandatory qualifications, the healthcare worker must:
(1) Have experience with completing tasks using Microsoft Office applications with
minimal guidance.
(2) Become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: MHS Genesis, and
Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS).
(3) Complete SHPE Program orientation with a flight representative. This is a one-time
training requirement.
(4) Assist BOMC with medical record reviews for Deployment- Related Health
Assessments (DRHA), Separation History and Physical Exams (SHPE) and all other
Medical Clearances for Deployment, PCS, Retraining, Palace Chase/Palace Front, and
retention.
(5) Act as Competent Medical Authority (CMA). Training will be provided by the
government. CMA will act as medical consultant to the Personnel Reliability Program
(PRP) commanders.
