This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality output for customer orders by operating specialized finishing equipment. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: • Operate and maintain finishing equipment, including sheeters, die cutters, and folder/gluers, to meet production requirements. • Review job specifications and ensure proper setup, approvals, and quality checks throughout the process. • Monitor in-process work for accuracy and quality; troubleshoot and resolve equipment or material issues as needed. • Communicate job status, production data, and improvement ideas to management and team members. • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area. Requirements: • Previous experience operating finishing equipment in a packaging or printing environment; knowledge of sheeting, die cutting, or gluing processes required. • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and use measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers. • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to address equipment and material issues. • Basic math, reading comprehension, and writing skills required; fluency in English. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs., standing for extended periods, and maneuvering around equipment safely.
