    The Position

    The Construction Document Specialist I will work in our Spring, Texas office and be responsible for preparing a field takeoff prior to project startup by utilizing Bluebeam PDF editing software to markup plans, gathering relevant design data from plans and submittals for populating field equipment data forms, and compiling reports consisting of data collected by field technicians. This role requires an individual who possesses a high mechanical aptitude, analytical skills and is detail oriented. Exceptional on the job training will be provided to teach technical requirements, applications and job specific procedures.

    Job responsibilities include:

    Obtaining all necessary project documentation such as plans, specs and submittals in preparation for completing a takeoff prior to a project start up.Evaluating plans and submittal for the purpose of identifying deficiencies and determining the relevant design data needed for field technicians.Preparing mechanical drawings for field technician use.Organizing and managing project documents.Populating field forms.Assisting field project leaders and managers with development of conditions of operation and other technical writing tasks.Following a schedule of work that will ensure that project field data is completed in a timely manner and that the final reports are completed and processed without delay.

    Required Qualifications:

    Up to 2 years of related skill, knowledge, or experience

    Or a

    Associates degree or Technical Certification in related field.Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk, PlanGrid Construction, Procore, and/OR Fieldwire.Experience with HVAC, drafting, submittals, understanding blueprints, and other related responsibilities.Strong mechanical aptitude required.Construction industry experience preferred.

    Job Summary

    In this role you will ensure successful delivery of all services for meetings and conferences by coordinating with clients, vendors and coworkers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Interaction: Answer telephones and make reservations for clients, ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor.Database Management: Track and manage information in the database with precision and accuracy.Event Planning: Take charge of planning and coordinating events in the conference center, ensuring all details are meticulously handled.Communication: Facilitate effective communication with operating departments including Conference Services, Catering, and Audio Visual to ensure smooth operations.Room Preparation: Collect all relevant details to ascertain that the conference rooms are appropriate for the specific type and purpose of the meeting.Audio Visual Coordination: Ensure conference rooms are suitable for customer specifications regarding audio visual capabilities in the room.Business Center Services: Provide business center services as requested.Reporting: Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports to maintain accurate records and facilitate conference room layouts.Finalization: Finalize all planning details with clients and distribute information to all relevant departments.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education: A four-year college degree is preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Experience: At least two years of exceptional customer service experience in the hospitality industry.Proactive Mindset: Ability to anticipate and support changes in our business environment.Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry trends and share insights with the team.Customer Service: Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for clients

    We are a United States-based developer of carbon capture & storage solutions for the Maritime and Offshore industries. Our Onboard Carbon Capture & Storage solution provides a low-cost and near-term solution to significantly reduce the intensity of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases (GHGs) onboard large maritime vessels and offshore operating assets. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Process Engineer to work on the development of our technology proof of concept system and commercial-scale technology development. You will work closely with our Director of Engineering and VP of Technology on the development of engineering designs, process modeling, and materials for our commercial-scale OCCS systems, as well as supporting our ongoing pilot project.

    Key Responsibilities

    -Work on design scale up studies for commercial partners and feed techno-economic assessments, determining system CAPEX and OPEX. 

    -Support development of the Company's commercial-scale engineering design packages. 

    -Develop and/or run Aspen models to simulate and optimize system performance.  

    -Complete Heat and Material Balances, equipment specifications and hydraulic/thermal calculations. 

    -Development of PFDs and P&IDs for technology deployment. 

    -Develop tools to improve engineering team analytical and design capabilities and workflows. 

    -Engage with suppliers and equipment vendors to verify capability and specify equipment for our commercial engineering packages. 

    -Collaborate across multiple engineering and business verticals with other members of our team. 

    -Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications related to research findings. 

    -Interact with academic and commercial partners as needed. 

    -Support the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the pilot demonstration CO2 capture unit. 

    -Support grant proposal writing and marketing efforts to raise funding. 

    -Anything else required in an early-stage startup.

    Qualifications

    -Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline.

    -5+ years of proven, hands-on experience as a process engineer designing, building, and/or supporting process/chemical units and/or chemical process design packages. 

    -Strong knowledge and experience using Aspen Plus Simulation Packages (HYSYS also a plus). Ideally familiar with modeling separation units, capable of using EDR for heat exchangers and APEA for economic analysis. Optimum if experienced using ASW. 

    -Proficient in Microsoft Excel, capable of building Macros and using Visual Basic in Excel. 

    -Experience with techno-economic evaluations, technology selection and pilot plant scale up. 

    -Understanding of separation technologies especially Absorption/Stripping. 

    -Optimum if experienced in CO2 capture and/or cryogenics.

    -Familiar with reading PFD's, P&IDs and equipment datasheets; AutoCAD or any other drawing software is a plus.

    -Experience and proficiency in project management, ideally as a team lead.

    -Good communication skills to interact with suppliers and potential customers. 

    -Passionate about decarbonization and tackling climate change.

    -Ability to operate effectively and autonomously in an early-stage startup with high-levels of uncertainty and a fast-paced environment.
