Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 48 Number of Staff 39 Type of staff:o Full Time OT/PT/SLP including PTA/COTAo PRN OT/PT/SLP including PTA/COTA Patient Ratios 4-5 patients (5.5 to 6 hours of treatment) Guaranteed hours: 36 All travelers are required to float Documentation system: MeditechTypical hiring profileSkill Set Most recruited for: Must have: Must have In-Patient Rehab experience Must have Acute care experience Preferred or nice to have: 2-3 Years of experience in Inpatient Rehab and/or acute hospital. Bilingual (English & Spanish) NDT or brain injury certifications List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapy - patient evaluations & treatments Acute (Ortho, Tele and ICU) evaluations & treatmentsBest personality Fit: Flexible & hardworkingREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Active OT or PT license in TexasFloating Area(s): Acute careDress Code: Scrub Color o PT/OT: Sage green/olive scrub top, black scrub pant, sage green scrub jacket. White or black undershirts only Nail Policy Clean and Healthy Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Start time is 8:00 AM Attendance is monitored Work minor/major holidays All travelers are required to float Weekends and On call(if any) 2 weekend shifts a month with a flex day before or after weekend day No on call
Required Qualifications
Occupational Therapist, Rehab
Experience: 2 years
Licenses: OT-TX
Certifications: BLS-AHA
SSN Required
DOB Required
Work History: Should not be more than 90 days of gap in last 1 year
Must have In-Patient Rehab and/or hospital experience
All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
2-3 Years of experience in Rehab and/or acute hospital.
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
NDT or brain injury certifications
