The Position
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement of safety practices across the organization by maintaining risk management profiles, updating safety policies, and planning safety training and compliance programs. This position will require travel to company branch offices in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, as well as field project sites.
Job responsibilities include:
Maintain and update Risk Management and Supplier Information Management profiles on relevant platforms (e.g., EAB, Avetta, ISNetworld)As needed, interface with customer safety representatives with coordination from EAB leadershipReview and update safety policies and procedures as needed to ensure compliance and effectivenessWork closely with management to develop site specific or service specific training procedures and ensure training of applicable employees is completed to maintain compliance and best practice standardsDevelop relevant and engaging toolbox talk topics to promote safety awareness across the organizationPlan and coordinate monthly safety training sessions with input and direction from managementConduct and document First Aid and CPR training sessions for employees and trainers; manage internal trainer duties and continuing educationResearch, coordinate and manage outside resources for specific training topics that cannot be taught internally (i.e., NFPA 70, etc.); schedule and coordinate these training sessions with the appropriate departments within the company to maintain complianceAssist in conducting root cause investigations for safety incidents and recommend corrective actionsMaintain the HAZCOM (Hazard Communication) program and chemical inventory, ensuring proper training and complianceKeep detailed records of safety-related incidents and propose appropriate corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrenceCollaborate with the HR team and branch operations to support new hire onboarding safety orientation and initial training for job readinessOrganize and conduct Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training programs to ensure employee safety awarenessCollaborate with managers to monitor safety compliance, identify safety issues, and suggest proactive measures to address concernsCoordinate the inspection, selection, training, and inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the workforceParticipate in monthly Safety Committee meetings to discuss safety performance and improvement strategiesRegularly travel to branch offices and project sites across the company service areas as needed to proactively support employee safety engagement, reinforce regular safety training and develop good working relationships with field teamsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Safety is preferred; however, a degree in Science, Engineering or a related field is acceptable2-5 years of experience in occupational safety, risk management, or related field requiredCommercial construction industry experience highly preferredGraduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is highly preferred; must be able to obtain certification within 12 months of hireStrong understanding of OSHA construction guidelines (29 CFR 1926), regulations, and best practices requiredMust be willing to travel up to 40% of the time to company branch offices in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, as well as field project sitesValid Driver's License requiredPreferred Qualifications:
First Aid and CPR certifications preferred; must be able to obtain certifications within 6 months of hireAED instructor certification preferred; must be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hireOSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications preferred; must be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hireExperience in reporting safety metrics and developing safety policies and procedures preferredExperience in designing, implementing, and delivering OSHA training programs preferredRequired Skills:

The Position
The Construction Document Specialist I will work in our Spring, Texas office and be responsible for preparing a field takeoff prior to project startup by utilizing Bluebeam PDF editing software to markup plans, gathering relevant design data from plans and submittals for populating field equipment data forms, and compiling reports consisting of data collected by field technicians. This role requires an individual who possesses a high mechanical aptitude, analytical skills and is detail oriented. Exceptional on the job training will be provided to teach technical requirements, applications and job specific procedures.
Job responsibilities include:
Obtaining all necessary project documentation such as plans, specs and submittals in preparation for completing a takeoff prior to a project start up.Evaluating plans and submittal for the purpose of identifying deficiencies and determining the relevant design data needed for field technicians.Preparing mechanical drawings for field technician use.Organizing and managing project documents.Populating field forms.Assisting field project leaders and managers with development of conditions of operation and other technical writing tasks.Following a schedule of work that will ensure that project field data is completed in a timely manner and that the final reports are completed and processed without delay.Required Qualifications:
Up to 2 years of related skill, knowledge, or experienceOr a
Associates degree or Technical Certification in related field.Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk, PlanGrid Construction, Procore, and/OR Fieldwire.Experience with HVAC, drafting, submittals, understanding blueprints, and other related responsibilities.Strong mechanical aptitude required.Construction industry experience preferred.Required Skills:
Strong computer competency with knowledge in Microsoft OfficeStrong mechanical aptitude.Exhibits strengths in spelling, grammar, document structure and detail. Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to work with a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environment. Team player who can effectively handle frustrations encountered in completing multiple tasks or in conflict-laden situations while maintaining quality and consistency.Previous experience in Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, PlanGrid, Procore Software, and a general understanding of construction plans, specs or submittals is a plus!
