About the RoleAs a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a wide range of heavy machineryup to 80 equipment lines and attachments. Your work ensures our customers' equipment runs safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks
Communicate repair needs, parts lists, and time estimates to the service manager
Maintain accurate 3C documentation (Complaint, Cause, Correction)
Keep your workspace clean and organized following 5S and OSHA safety standards
Assist teammates and customers with honesty, respect, and professionalism
Participate in ongoing training and skill development
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GED required
2-year degree in Diesel, Ag, Automotive, or Heavy Equipment Technology preferred
Experience: 25 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or maintenance preferred
Skilled in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Welding and torch experience a plus
Basic tool set and storage required
Must be dependable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical RequirementsRegularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally over 100 lbs with assistance)
Stand, kneel, climb, and work on heavy equipment daily
Use power tools and perform hands-on repairs for extended periods
Ability to see details clearly and maintain focus in a busy shop environment
