    Any specific dates needed for coverage?

    Needs start as soon as credentialing completed. We are looking for a physician with Wound Care and Hyperbaric (HBO) training and experience to cover the Mon Fri outpatient Wound Center.

    Procedures Required (types of procedures to be performed by locum tenens provider):

    Assess and prescribe standard wound care treatments, compression therapy, wound vacs; HBO treatment oversight; debridements; casts; advanced tissue applications; I&D; callous paring; chemical cautery

    Optional: punch biopsies



    LICENSING RESTRICTION: Already active IL license and DEA/CSR

    As always, we prefer clean and easy-to-credential candidates . Please do not submit with a lot of malpractice cases or those with high payouts. It is difficult to get privileges approved even when the provider has no pending cases.

    Department Description:

    Case types include: General, Orthopedic, OB and some urology

    Anesthesia department is comprised of 2 Anesthesiologists and 6 CRNAs

    Daily staffing is 1 Anesthesiologist and 5 CRNAs

    Call rotates 1:6 and is manageable with 300 deliveries per year

    Providers have the chance to work at the top of their license including performing their own regional and neuraxial blocks.

    HR requires you to complete onsite onboarding/orientation before your first shift, which can only be scheduled after your credentials are approved.

    A drug screening is also required. It can be done at the hospital on the day of onboarding but usually takes about a week for results. It's best to complete it as soon as you're credentialed so you'll be ready to start picking up shifts without delay. Our onboarding person can help coordinate this.
