Job Overview The Transportation Coordinator (RanchRide Coordinator) serves the residents of the Community of Rancho Mission Viejo to promote and demonstrate the Rancho Mission Viejo community visions for Ranch Life, that residents enjoy a highly engaged and connected intergenerational community lifestyle, and for RanchRide that the corporation exists so that enhanced and shared transportation modes and resources benefit Rancho Mission Viejo and South Orange County. This position is devoted to RanchRide operations to enhance the lifestyle experience of the residents under the service contracts provided by FirstService Residential. Compensation $24-25 per hour. Compensation is based on experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. Job Responsibilities Assist the RanchRide Manager at each meeting, support agenda, provide written and oral reports, and summarize priorities. Assist in running RanchRide Board of Directors meetings, co-prepare and present board agenda, and take meeting minutes. Prepare written reports to the Board of Directors capturing ridership, communications, project updates, and OCTA grant status. Manage contracts and agreements, ensuring proper execution and accurate financial recording. Verify subcontractors are qualified and adhere to service specifications; ensure work complies with RanchRide and community standards. Collaborate with management to produce and disseminate promotional content via digital and printed platforms. Assist in financial statement review, payable processing, annual budget preparation, grant reporting, and budget adherence. Handle day-to-day operational requirements, including driver logs and maps. Coordinate with RanchRide, Rancho MMC, and RanchLife for special events, staffing, activities, and communication efforts. Provide administrative support to the Communications Coordinator as needed. Complete other projects deemed necessary. Attend all mandatory work-related functions. Other duties may be assigned. Operational Excellence – Work closely with the RanchRide Manager, Executive Director, and Board to implement the Policy Governance Manual, plan reviews, assist with policy compliance, and recommend revisions. Service Excellence – Respond to all customer and internal inquiries promptly, deliver high-level customer service, maintain consistent on-site attendance, build relationships with community developers and partners, maintain strategic relations, and actively participate in professional group meetings. Education And Experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Non-profit operations management experience a plus. Experience implementing content to websites, e-blasts, newsletters, and social media. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Canva. Moderate to advanced skills in Excel and Trello preferred. Prior experience in transportation preferred. Physical Requirements Working Environment Must sit and/or stand for extended periods. Must lift up to 50 lbs. Finger dexterity for keyboard use. Handle job-related pressure and stress. Work in varied environmental conditions (outdoor temperatures, traffic, noise, vibrations, fumes, chemicals, dust). Occasional weekend and evening hours; seasonal hours may occur.
