A3GEO is seeking a full-time Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Berkeley, California team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer at A3GEO, you will be responsible for managing small projects as well as managing discrete tasks within larger projects. In this role, you will be expected to:
Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates;Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples/core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing/reviewing/editing boring logs for investigations of any scale;Working directly with and managing sub-consultants;Performing and/or supervising engineering analyses;Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports;Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of A3GEO's geotechnical recommendations;Assisting in the managing, training, mentoring and supervision of staff-level engineers;Managing construction-phase services for projects; andConducting onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:A3GEO is seeking a well-rounded Professional Engineer, with experience on a variety of project types. The following minimum requirements apply to this position. U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.California Engineer in Training (EIT)Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related disciplineDemonstrated strong problem-solving skills.Excellent writing and communication skills.

Position Overview: Certerra has an immediate opening for a full time Airfield Pavement Professional. The position is best suited for someone interested working in a fast-paced consultant environment, capable of effectively working as part of a collaborative team. This position will require regular travel to out-of-town project locations for extended periods of time up to 80% travel time. Pier diem and lodging is paid.
Responsibilities: As part of an experienced team, you will apply your testing and inspection capabilities to a variety of projects. Applicants shall have an educational or professional background in construction inspection services and have experience evaluating soils, concrete, and asphalt, as they relate to site construction. Report writing and computer skills are required. Experience in airfield pavement construction is a plus.
