As a PrincipalProduct Designer for Okta, you’ll work with a globally distributed design team to build the forward-looking vision for Okta’s entire suite of services. You will shape a culture that deeply appreciates our customers and how to best serve them. Your work will go deep at times, but you’ll also be constantly seeking opportunities to connect journeys and experiences horizontally across the Okta Platform suite. You notice the details and deeply understand how the product works. Ensuring that using our products together creates an experience that is “greater than the sum of its parts” will be critical to Okta’s success in the coming years.

This role will be focused on the UX strategy for the Access Management Pillar within the Okta Platform. Working alongside Product and Engineering teams, you’ll bring this strategy to life through explorations, prototypes, and other design artifacts that foster clarity across groups and teams. In addition, you’ll be an effective collaborator and communicator – elevating the voice of design across functions and pillars. Finally, you’ll play a key part in elevating the design practice at Okta, both in terms of craft and team culture.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $201,000 — $301,000 USD
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between: $179,000 — $269,000 USD
