    Hours:

    Position Summary:

    The Laminator Operator is responsible for the correct set up and operation of solvent-less laminator. The operator is one that works independently and as part of a team, effectively communicates, gets along with others, has a positive attitude, and is well organized. 10-hour shifts are standard but are subject to change based on company need.

    Requirements:

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED) One year previous machine operating experience Previous experience operating a lamination machine is a plus Experience reading and recording measurement Ability to lift up to 50lbs

    Position Summary:

    The plant production supervisor will be responsible for maintaining safety, quality and production in the entire plant while ensuring that all company policies and regulations are being followed properly.

    Essential Duties and Tasks (include but are not limited to):

    Mentors, coaches, and oversees the work of the team to meet safety, quality, and operational needs. Oversees and directs all daily production activities of the department by continuously performing department walk throughs throughout shift. Ensure achievement of safety, quality, and productivity goals for specific department/shift. Monitor production activity and data to support development of solutions and CI processes as developed/directed by manager. Assist with implementation and monitoring of CI/Operational Excellence processes. Responsible for assisting with hiring and ensure quality training of new employees. Actively monitor trainee progress, provide feedback and arrange additional training for employees as needed. Complete Leadership Standard Work requirements. Supervise and critique change overs and reduce the time by making sure the operators are planning their change over ahead of time. Maintain staffing for the department and arrange coverage when needed. Must monitor and maintain ERP, SSFD Operating system to show data of machines. Set the example for the shift to follow in areas such as attitude, sense of urgency, cooperation, and relationship with other employees, leads, supervisors and managers. Adhere to safety policies and procedures as included in the employee handbook. Hold weekly safety huddles with direct team and conduct ongoing training to ensure safety for self and fellow employees. Ensure unsafe behavior is immediately addressed and corrected in the workplace. Follow all applicable instructions relative to food safety and the SQF Food Safety Management System, including Employee GMP's

    Qualification Education Experience:

    Two year Associates degree or higher required business or industry preferred Two+ years of proven success leading a team in a manufacturing setting Leadership experience with the ability to also work as a team Ability to perform moderately complex problem analysis & Mechanical aptitude Solid working knowledge of production processes and related manufacturing Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook. Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients. Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

    Essential Duties:

    Operate printing press. Ensure print design conforms to job jacket information. Responsible for print sample retention. Notifies Supervisor/Lead Person or Quality Assurance Technician of non-conformities. Responsible for proper packaging and labeling of work in-process and/or finished product. Ensure raw materials have been approved for use. Ensure all bench top test and measuring equipment being used are properly calibrated. Identification and control of Non-conforming material. Set-up and Clean-up machine. Follow all applicable instructions relative to food safety and the SQF Food Safety Management System, including Employee GMP's Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate actions.

    Qualifications, Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior operation of same or similar equipment preferred. Climbing Stairs, Bending, Twisting, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling and Squatting. Walking or standing on concrete floors for most of shift. Lifting is minimal, occasionally up to 70 lbs. Exposure to inks coatings, and solvents. Good and reliable attendance. Shift formats (12 hours, days, nights) with OT based on business need. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.

    Job Overview:

    Operators load converting bag machines with roll stock of film (plastic). The operator sets up the machines to the customer's specification and the converting bag machine forms the bag or the pouch. Operators are responsible for efficiently operating the converting bag machine, including but not limited to: machine setup, bag production, handling finished product, quality control and reporting while adhering to safety guidelines.

    Requirements:

    Able to regularly lift 10-15lbs and occasionally 50lbs of product Great attitude and attendance is a must! Mechanical reasoning skills Ability to do machine set-ups, calibrations, etc. or a willingness to learn Ability to read a tape measure and record measurements Good communication skills Ability to work in a high speed, manufacturing environment (Manufacturing experience preferred)

    Major Job Function:

    Electronic wiring up to 480V 5+ years Industrial mechanical experience including experience trouble shooting PLCs and working on industrial motor controls Experience working in the packaging industry on converting bag machines, flexographic presses or blown film extruders is a plus.

    Education:

    HS Diploma or equivalent required Electrical or mechanical technical training and/or certifications preferred

    This position will be responsible for assisting with the repairs within the facility and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, and electronic equipment by performing the following duties.

Read and interpret schematics and process control diagrams. Troubleshooting and calibrating level, pressure, temperature, and flow measuring instruments. Working with electronic controls and circuits, hard wiring relay logic systems and process instrumentation. Reading blueprints and equipment manuals.

    Qualifications, Education and Experience

    3+ years' experience of manufacturing machine maintenance Associates Degree Preferred or Trade School Certificate Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and team-oriented environment Knowledge of OSHA regulations Reporting to work on time and dependability is imperative Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities. Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
