Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join a hospital-based radiology team. The PA will work under the supervision of radiologists to support both diagnostic and interventional radiology services. This role combines patient evaluation, clinical procedures, imaging interpretation assistance, and patient education to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
Conduct patient histories and physical examinations prior to radiologic and interventional procedures.
Evaluate patients for radiology services and obtain informed consent.
Assist radiologists with interventional procedures, including biopsies, drainages, line placements, and injections.
Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care, monitor recovery, and manage potential complications.
Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies as appropriate.
Prescribe medications and administer contrast agents or sedation under established protocols.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, aftercare, and follow-up requirements.
Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and referring providers to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current state PA licensure.
NCCPA certification.
New Graduates are Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Prior experience in radiology, interventional radiology, or surgical services is preferred but not required.
