Opportunity Overview: Hospitalist Locums Coverage Location: Lawton, OK Start Date: February 2026 ongoing (612 months with option to extend) Schedule: Full-time preferred Rotating 7 on / 7 off for both day and night shifts May consider splitting schedule with multiple providers (minimum 1 week per month preferred) Shifts: Day: 7:00a7:00p Night: 7:00p7:00a or 5:00p5:00a Nocturnists may take call as well Call: negotiable Patient Volume: Average 1517 patients per day 24 admissions per provider Scope of Practice: Hospitalist coverage including inpatient rounding, consults, admissions to ICU, and ventilator management Procedures: Days/Nights: ICU admissions, vent management Nights: Chest tubes, code response, central and arterial lines EMR: Allscripts Hospital Details: Level III Trauma Center 283-bed hospital Open ICU Group / Support: 2 CCM physicians on day shifts for most critical patients Hospitalist manages remaining ICU patients 1 NP assists with admissions occasionally (not guaranteed) Nights are solo coverage in open ICU Requirements: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Oklahoma license preferred; active IMLC Compact license accepted Active DEA Benefits: 1099 contract Competitive rates, negotiated on your behalf A+ malpractice coverage Full travel and housing provided Assistance with credentialing included If youre interestedor know someone who may be a good fitplease feel free to share your availability and a current CV.
