We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to support a Tribal Health Center committed to delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive care. This is a unique opportunity for a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OBGYN physician with leadership experience to provide both clinical and administrative guidance in a flexible, well-supported setting.
Position Overview:Specialties Accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OBGYN (MD or DO)
Schedule Options:
Full-Time: 3 weeks on-site / 1 week remote
Part-Time: 1 2 weeks on-site / 1 week remote
Duration: 12+ months (Locum Tenens with long-term potential)
Setting: Tribal Health Center (rural/underserved community)
Travel Support: Flights, housing, and car rental provided for each on-site visit
Responsibilities:Provide 50% clinical care and 50% administrative leadership while on-site
Collaborate with clinical staff, tribal leadership, and care teams to improve health outcomes
Oversee quality assurance, compliance, and policy implementation
Support provider recruitment, training, and performance reviews
Participate in strategic planning and process improvements
Requirements:Active medical license in any U.S. state (no need for local state license)
Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OBGYN
Prior leadership or medical director experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience
Culturally competent, team-oriented, and adaptable
