    Job Summary

    The Service Manager will be responsible for managing Technicians and possibly other positions who are critical to the operations and delivery of service. They manage the overall financial performance and customer service of the service regions. The Service Manager reports to either an Operations Manager or to the Director of Operations for a geographical region and has 2 or more direct reports.


    Key Job Responsibilities:

    Reliable attendance and punctuality.Communicate job expectations with Technicians and other personnel.Assign, schedule, prioritize repairs, monitor, appraise job results, and foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork with technicians and other personnel.Hire, train, supervise, and provide corrective performance coaching to staff to reduce customer down time and maintain high-quality Technicians.Initiate, coordinate, monitor, and enforce systems, policies and procedures.Maintain safe, clean and organized work environment(s) by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources.Develop a culture of safety that meets or exceeds the company’s high standards.Maintain a high standard of quality customer repairs and customer service.Resolve personnel and service problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.Answer questions and respond to requests timely for internal and external customers.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.Develop thorough knowledge of the Company’s operating standards, policies, directives, and safety instructions pertaining to the assignment.Assist with monitoring technician WIP reports and ensure limited hours remain for EOM.Collaborate with regional sales leadership to coordinate activities between Sales and Operations teams.Work with regional leadership to manage and drive financial forecasting and results.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Job Summary

    The Technician, Apprentice is responsible for coordinating and performing routine Planned Maintenance Services and diagnosing and repairing products. These products include industrial batteries, chargers, and battery handling equipment, as well as other products deemed necessary to build and maintain a satisfied and profitable customer base. This position typically reports to a Service Manager or a Lead Technician and has no direct reports.


    Key Job Responsibilities:

    Reliable attendance and punctuality.Execute planned maintenance agreements, including: Battery inspections, battery watering, battery washing, and recording of cell voltages and specific gravities. Charger inspections, calibrations, and adjustments.Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, and other personnel to expedite repairs.Travel to other branches or sites, as required, to assist with product installation, removal or repairs (some overnight travel will be required).Comply with company policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT and Hazmat.Follow all safety regulations, including site specific safety regulations established by customers.Build strong relationships with customers.Take ownership of all company assets, including but not limited to vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.Complete all service orders, PM worksheets, timecards, expense reports, and any documentation as required, in an accurate and timely manner.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Job Summary

    The Critical Power UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Technician is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, installing and maintaining Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems from all manufacturers; both single and three phase, along with batteries and other critical power equipment such as Power Distribution Units (PDU’s) and Static Switches (SSW’s). This position also provides technical support to customers on operational and maintenance aspects. This position reports to the Regional Service Manager and has no direct reports.


    Key Job Responsibilities:

    Perform required preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled.Responsible for maintenance involving use and care of electrical test equipment.Advise requesting department regarding system and requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.Perform initial starts-ups.Provide 24/7 on-call emergency services as required.Performance of electrical equipment maintenance routines.Battery system maintenance.Installation of designed Battery systems to ensure compliance with design specification and safety codes.Provide requested services while meeting safety codes, specification and budgetary limitations.Work with other team members to complete custom and large installation projects.Educate customers on basic operation of their equipment, informing them of issues they may experience and the necessary corrective actions.Establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate.Troubleshoot critical power systems down to the root cause and perform repairs with minimum customer downtime or site operation disruption.Interpretation of technical documentation including schematics.Coordinate and manage all on-site subcontractors as necessary.Recognize sales opportunities for critical power equipment and other add on products and link potential customers with the appropriate internal and external sales and technical resources.Timely and accurate completion of paperwork including Field Service Reports, RMA’s, timecards, and expense reports.Some warehouse responsibilities will be involved which included preparing batteries fortransportation, managing inventory, and operating a forklift.Provide training and guidance to less experienced employees where necessary.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Job Summary

    The DC Power Installation Technician/Level 3 will have at least 2 years’ experience as a Level 2 Installation Technician in non-powered installations or equivalent. Under supervision of Level 4 Installation Technician or Installation Supervisor run individual basic job as lead in-charge from start through completion and customer acceptance. Supervise the activities of crews consisting of Level 1 & 2 installers. Report daily to Installation management and provide written daily job status with pictures to project management. Assist in the training and development of Level 1 & 2 installers assigned by Installation Management. A major aspect of this position is to ensure the highest standards of quality and service.
