  • AXONNE | Hardware Validation Engineer

As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hardware Validation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.
    Job Summary:This is a full-time hybrid role for an HW Validation Engineer at a startup in the Automotive Ethernet Industry. The HW Validation Engineer will be responsible for validating and testing semiconductor devices, participating in system design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers. This role is located in San Jose, CA, but flexibility for some remote work is available.
    Key Responsibilities:Validate the chip functionalities, both electrically and at protocol/system level.Use lab equipment to perform electrical measurements, like timing parameters, compliance testing, noise/jitter analysis, etc.Write scripts to automate the functional/feature testing, interface with chip designer/board designer/firmware engineer to study and debug silicon.
    Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in hardware validation or testingKnowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi or other communication protocolsExperience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipmentExperience with scripting languages such as PythonUnderstanding of electronic circuit design and analysisExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex problemsStrong communication skills and experience working in a team environmentFlexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

We are in search of a talented Technical Program Manager to join our team and drive the development of state-of-the-art DSP solutions for automotive applications.
    Job Summary:As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the development and execution of semiconductor projects within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that semiconductor projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, functional safety, quality, manufacturing, and product management to drive project success.
    Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution:Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for semiconductor projects.Coordinate with engineering teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or roadblocks. Implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.Track project milestones and deliverables and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration:· Work closely with design (both HW & SW), engineering, functional safety, quality, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.Program milestones: Work with core team members to define key program timing & and deliverables.Key deliverables: Align requirements for each team at each milestone and define the benchmark for completion.Establish the schedule: Build a realistic and achievable timing plan with input from core program team members.Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams to resolve issues and drive projects forward.Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and dependencies.Review progress: Create regular status checks at key milestones to ensure the program remains on track.Track progress: Create and maintain a clear dashboard showing program and budget status.Resolve or escalate issues: Collaborate with teams to find solutions or mitigations.Escalate for management support: Ensure appropriate resources are in place across the cross-functional team to execute program deliverables.Resource Management:Allocate resources effectively to support project needs and priorities.Identify resource constraints or bottlenecks and work with management to address them.Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency and productivity.
    Quality Assurance:Define and enforce quality standards for semiconductor projects.Implement quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet specifications and requirements.Conduct regular reviews and inspections to identify and address quality issues early in the development cycle.
    Risk Management:Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project outcomes.Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks.Monitor and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate emerging threats.
    Stakeholder Management:Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and vendors.Solicit feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into project planning and execution.Address stakeholder concerns and ensure their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
    Qualifications:BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience8+ years of experience working with a global team in engineering or program management in the automotive Semiconductor with full New Product Introduction cycles from concept to production, and safe launch is a MUST!PMP or equivalent certificationProficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. MS Project, AGILE, JIRA, Confluence)Familiarity with automotive industry standards and semiconductor industry standards – such as IATF, VDA, AEC, ZVEI, ISO26262 etc.Understanding of business processes (i.e. APQP) and manufacturing processes (i.e. PPAP) designed to meet the high expectations of automotive customers.Excellent communicator, negotiator, and team builderGood analytics experience, using data-driven decision processes with the ability to simplify data to diverse audiences.Outstanding planning, resource, and stakeholder managementPassion for quality design and innovationDemonstrable track record of managing complex cross-functional projects involving hardware and software.

    Job Summary:As the DSP Architect at Axonne, you will be a key contributor to the next-generation physical layer/mixed-signal SOCs. You will be tasked with the design and development of DSP architectures and Signal-processing algorithms for advanced high-speed transceivers. Tasks can range from modeling, system specification, algorithm evaluation, and design, optimization, and pre & post-silicon support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement DSP solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the automotive industry.
    Key Responsibilities:
    DSP Architecture Design:Drive the development of DSP architectures and algorithms for automotive communication systems.Define the system requirements and performance targets for DSP solutions. Algorithm Development:Design and implement signal processing algorithms, optimizing them for performance, power efficiency, and real-time processing.Develop algorithms for noise reduction, filtering, and sensor data interpretation.
    Simulation and Validation:Use simulation tools to model DSP algorithms, ensuring their accuracy, efficiency, and suitability for automotive applications.Collaborate with the validation and testing teams to verify and validate DSP performance.
    Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware designers, and system engineers to ensure successful integration of DSP solutions.
    Qualifications:Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in high-performance DSP architecture and algorithm development that are power and area-efficient, preferably in the semiconductor industry.Proficiency in DSP software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, C++ modeling) and hardware design tools.Strong understanding of digital signal processing theory and practical applications.Creatively develop solutions in light of incomplete informationStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Ability to learn quickly and willingness to proactively take on responsibilities beyond the job description to accomplish team goals.Familiarity with automotive safety and functional safety standards (ISO 26262) is a plus.

As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced ASIC Synthesis/STA Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.
    Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute Synthesis, DFT, static timing analysis flows.Provide support for ASIC tools and flows and develop standardized CAD flows.Interface with various digital design teams who will be requesting deployment, training, and maintenance of tools and flows.Collaborate with EDA vendors and other external tool developers as needed to debug critical issues and find workarounds as needed.Enable design teams to meet targets by closely supporting and troubleshooting CAD flow usage.Work with design teams to enable power optimizations by annotating activity in TCF/SAIF formats.Manage and deploy technology specific PDKs.
    QualificationsBS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Electrical or Computer Engineering and 5 years of ASIC Implementation experience; MS preferred with 5 yearsSome exposure to CAD/Flow development.Strong scripting and automation skills using Tcl/PythonExperience with ASIC front-end design flows, including synthesis, formal equivalence checking, as well as lint & CDC checks.Knowledge of STA and DFT.Be able to independently troubleshoot digital tool flow usage and deploy solutions.Fluency in the Linux environment and strong knowledge of the Linux command line is a must.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with DevOps concepts and compute farm interaction is a plus.
