The Bus Driver provides bus transportation for enrolled children in a safe and timely manner. They act as a liaison between the program and parents by communicating effectively, as well as retrieving and disseminating documentation that goes back and forth between school and the parents.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
TRANSPORTATION
Transports children to and from program daily, and field trips when scheduled. Assists in providing required pedestrian/safety trainings to parents, children, bus monitor, and staff within the first 30 days of school annually and as mandated by federal and state regulations. Conducts emergency evacuation drills at least three times per year, as scheduled. Maintains vehicle cleanliness daily and provides vehicle inspections and reports to facilities and transportation supervisor daily, weekly, and monthly as required. Ensures regulation binder is up to date at all times and stored meeting FERPA requirements.
RECORD KEEPING
Maintains records for each bus family as required, including all emergency contacts and procedures. Keeps record of contacts with parents by entering case notes into the Child Plus database and sharing information with appropriate staff. Maintains daily inspection logs for the bus, daily attendance logs for children, and all records pertaining to CDL. Produces timesheets and UCS facility / maintenance inspections and requests weekly and in an accurate and timely manner.
In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
The Specialized Services Provider is responsible for providing individualized supports to a person with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder residing in the community. This position is one of several providing 24/7 supervision to a high-needs individual living either in our Battelle Crisis Stabilization House, in an independent apartment, hotel/motel, or Airbnb.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 DIRECT SERVICE:
Provides services in a respectful, friendly, and professional manner that supports client choice. Responsibilities include facilitating conversation and activities of interest to the individual, providing guidance, companionship, emotional support and supervision for safety. The Specialized Services Provider follows Specialized Services regulations as set forth by Medicaid and follows the individual's treatment plan to provide specific and meaningful supports.
Advocate on behalf of consumers with family, peers, and community members, as needed. Introduce consumers to community resources and facilitate usage. Encourage and support participation in community events. Teach consumers safety skills in all aspects of community and home life. Teach, instruct, and role model appropriate community and social behavior and expectations, as needed. Monitor emotional and physical well-being; administer medications as appropriate; educate and assist with personal care as required; attend medical appointments and ensure appropriate follow-up is occurring; provide transportation to desired activities, community events, and appointments. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure mental health needs are being met.
Staff will gain knowledge of how to appropriately safety plan for community outings and activities, have knowledge of Vermont's public safety best practices and will support the individual in adhering to their court conditions of release and/or ACT 248 orders when applicable.
2.0 RECORD KEEPING:
Collects data as required by the individuals' ISA and behavior support plans. Completes Developmental Services and agency paperwork including, but not limited to, submitting accurate daily and weekly time sheets, expense sheets, and monthly documentation in a timely manner.
3.0 NETWORKING:
Provides needed information to other staff, professionals, and team members in a professional confidential manner. Serves as advocate and/or liaison on behalf of individual served, the Developmental Services Division and UCS. Participates as a problem-solver in "team," "care plan," and other meetings.

CLASSROOM MAINTENANCE: The Teacher Assistant will maintain educational supplies and art materials, monitor equipment and supplies, and cooperate with the teacher to maintain an orderly classroom environment. This includes with clean-up at mealtime and after playtime.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT: In addition, provides childcare during after-hour parent events at a minimum of two shifts per year. During events, completes intake forms with parents. Helps parents to feel comfortable in their role as classroom helpers and involves parents in activities and projects. Refers parent's questions to the Teacher, as appropriate. To meet the changing needs of families, it may be necessary to schedule meetings and family events after regular hours.
RECORDKEEPING: Helps to maintain a complete record of each child enrolled as required by federal and state regulations. Maintain accurate attendance records, written records of conversations with parents, and ongoing daily observations. Observations are to be entered into assessment program to allow for accurate assessments to be completed on each child. Ensures BFIS credential account is up to date.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Director of Mental Health and Substance Use Services, the Assistant Director provides a coordinative and supervisory function in this division. The Assistant Director works in concert with the Director to assist UCS in providing quality, efficient services to adults, children, and families.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 COORDINATION AND CLINICAL SUPERVISION OF OUTPATIENT SERVICES:
Provides clinical oversight and supervisory functions for the Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Division. Advocates on behalf of staff and clients for necessary services, changes, and problem-solving, so as to enhance and maintain quality services for this population. Acts as a Senior Clinician and Supervisor second in command to the Director. Provides leadership in the strategic planning process. Represents the division at necessary meetings within and outside UCS and provides administrative direction in the absence of the Director. Provides direct clinical supervision to non-licensed staff of the division or agency on a limited basis.
2.0 DIRECT CLINICAL SERVICES:
Provides assessment and counseling to individuals and families with mental health and/or substance use problems. Services may include individuals, families, relationships, and group therapy. Participates in agency emergency assessment/screening services. Coordinates services with other agencies and providers. Facilitates appropriate referrals for other services when necessary. Coordinates and provides psychological testing or other specialized assessment/screening services based on professional concentration and training.
3.0 CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION SERVICES:
Provides mental health and/or substance use consultation to community at large, area agencies, the professional community, and/or schools as required. Consultation can be educational or evaluative in nature. Specific areas of consultation/education are based on clinician's areas of expertise or interest.
4.0 CLINICAL CASE MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL SUPPORT:
Provides concurrent case management services on an as needed basis. These services may include service coordination with other agencies and services; collateral contacts with other family members or significant others in client's life; telephone support to clients or collaterals; social support services for locating, developing, or providing care services; or treatment planning session.
5.0 CLINICAL RECORD KEEPING:
Initiates and maintains in a timely and thorough manner the wide variety of record keeping and administrative documentation required to account for our services to clients. Such work includes, but is not limited to, client-specific assessments, case services, and progress notes, time sheets, schedules, billing reports to third party payers, assigned periodic reports such as RBA or SAMHA reports and to assist with state audits.
6.0 ADMINISTRATIVE, AGENCY, AND CLINICAL TEAM MEETINGS:
Attends and actively participates in the necessary coordinative, administrative, and clinical meetings designed to inform, problem solve, and coordinate services. Assist the Director in ensuring that all program requirements are met including, but not limited to; monitoring, reporting, and fiscal compliance.

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Senior Manager for Staffed Living and Public Safety, the Program Coordinator for Staffed Living assists in overseeing placements for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Staffed Living. They will be knowledgeable about DS Public Safety clients, stay informed about their status, and ensure the completion of required public safety documentation.
The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living serves as the Service Coordinator for clients in Staffed Living, ensuring all required documentation is completed, monitoring their needs and well-being, and advocating on their behalf. Additionally, they provide training and guidance to Specialized Direct Support Providers (SDSP), ensuring procedural compliance and best practices. They support safe and appropriate placements while prioritizing the well-being of individuals and the community.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND SUPERVISION: The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living may assign and direct the work of SDSPs. provides administrative supervision to Specialized Direct Support Professionals (SDSPs). They monitor service quality, assist with program operations, develop staff schedules, and implement and oversee required staff training. Additionally, they help develop treatment plans and ensure the completion of all required annual documentation for clients in the Staffed Living and Public Safety Program.
In collaboration with the Senior Manager, the Program Coordinator ensures compliance with policies and procedures. They may also participate in the DS Emergency On-Call System.
The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living works closely with DS clinical staff and DAIL's Public Safety Specialist to facilitate ongoing communication and training. They ensure the Staffed Living program meets necessary training requirements, including approved restraint procedures (Human rights Committee) when required, to maintain the safety of Public Safety clients and the community.
They will ensure that the monthly census is completed timely and adherence to all regulatory requirements and UCS policies. Additionally, they support the Senior Manager in completing VOTIPS and SOTIPS assessments for Public Safety and ACT 248 clients, as well as fulfilling monthly reporting requirements and ensuring timely submission to DAIL.
HOUSING SOLUTIONS and CRISIS SUPPORT: The Program Coordinator for Staffed Living works with community members and service providers to address housing challenges for individuals in the program. Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting and hiring staff as needed, collaborating with local landlords to secure appropriate housing, and assisting clients in advocating for their needs while maintaining ongoing communication with guardians.
In times of crisis or housing-related escalations, the Program Coordinator provides positive interventions and strategic support for DS clients. They problem-solve and develop creative solutions to assist individuals in crisis, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support.
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE: The Program Coordinator will develop tracking systems to monitor completion of required Public Safety documentation and other organizational tools.
NETWORKING AND CONSULTATION / EDUCATION: The Program Coordinator serves on agency committees as assigned and represents the division on the statewide Public Safety Committee. They assist Service Coordinators in coordinating services and provide training as needed, including approved restraint procedures, ensuring compliance with all training requirements.
Additionally, the Program Coordinator mediates staff concerns, offering guidance and support as needed. They also act as a client advocate, collaborating with community housing organizations to secure appropriate resources and support for individuals in the program.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, RECORD KEEPING, AND FISCAL MONITORING: Facilitates and documents the person-centered program planning process (Needs Assessment, Person's story, ISA); Collaborates with service providers to ensure that the ISA is implemented and is effective; Ensures that all regulations are being followed.
Prepares reports, as requested. Reviews management and outcome reports completed by managers. Review waiver budgets as appropriate and advise the Division Director of necessary changes.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES IN SUPPORT OF ORGANIZATION: In addition to the above, performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree preferred, or five years' experience in similar role or experience assisting in carrying out duties may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
