    Job Summary:

    Report to Service Center and/or travel to Customer Sites to perform daily tasks associated with the upkeep and repair of mobile medical equipment. Travel outside local territory as needed - up to but not limited to 20% overnight. Work under direction of the Service Manager and complete assigned tasks. Initial focus on URS Holmium Laser units. Developmental training will be provided for additional Urological surgery devices that perform MR Fusion Prostate Biopsy and ESWL Lithotripsy (including X-ray and Ultrasound).

    Qualifications:

    3 years of relevant experience in field service repair or engineeringPossess a two-year degree in electronics or equivalent years of directly related experienceUnderstanding of electronics theory / Proven experience working with electronics and schematicsProven analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills using test equipmentStrong mechanical skills with the ability to use hand and power tools The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English


    Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

    Complete all service training provided by UMS and Respective Manufactures.Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) in accordance with UMS, State, Federal, and Manufacture intervals.Troubleshoot and repair equipment per manufacturer guidelines utilizing appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools.Submit all service reports, preventative maintenance records, used parts, and expense reports on a weekly basis.Travel up to but not limited to 20% overnight.Maintain Company provided Service vehicle.Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment. Field service calls and perform necessary work in accordance with UMS protocol.In the event of equipment failure, follow current department procedures.Submit and discuss weekly itinerary with Service Manager. Maintain 24/7 availability for communication. Track and order spare parts as needed.

    Special Work Requirements:

    Ability to perform daily physical labor including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy machineryMaintain a clean driving record.

Responsible for the upkeep of the equipment and supplies to perform procedures in an efficient and aesthetic manner. Our highly specialized Fusion Biopsy Technologists travel to various hospitals in their home region each month to provide the MR Fusion device and support the Urologists in their operation for MR Fusion Prostate Biopsy procedures in the OR.

    MR Fusion Biopsy is a revolutionary new procedure which is changing the landscape for detecting Prostate cancer earlier and more accurately. Our Fusion Technologists work independently and oversee the logistical and clinical needs for their route in preparation for the procedures.


    OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

    Provide strong leadership and improve the business process through analysis and collaboration. Collaborate with UMS scheduling team, physician office schedulers and OR facility schedulers to maximize UMS Tech availability and coverage, ensuring the capture of all MRF cases. Address and document calls, texts and emails from facilities and physicians pertaining to all MRF concerns (scheduling, complaints, incidents, equipment and all applicable). Coordination of Teleradiology services including proper workflow and necessary communication with Telerads. Act as UMS liaison to all stakeholders including but not limited to visits and ongoing communication with Physicians, contracted facility administration, OR staff, and scheduling personnel to build professional relationships and improve communication and service availability. Work with MRF administrative personnel to implement best demonstrated practices, review current practices and policies as well as create new policies and procedures as necessary. Collaborate with UMS administration to develop strategic operational metrics and financial goals. Monthly performance reviews with operations administration. Monitor and document performance, productivity, time management and conduct of MR Fusion Technologists. Promote skill development and provide feedback and/or record corrective actions as necessary under MRF Management/ HR guidance and make recommendations for improvement. Expense review and approval Timecard review and approval Coordination of schedule to cover vacation time and sick days. Incident report review, investigation and follow up. Assist in the implementation process of new facilities or accounts and support cases as needed or until permanent Tech is in place. Trouble shoot Profuse issues with assistance of CAS/IT department. Schedule and conduct in-services (new/existing facilities as needed). Work with QA/QM department to ensure all pertinent information is documented, tracked, and correctly reported. Team building and development: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, training, and retaining MRF staff. Ensure mandatory credentialing compliance by assisting techs with all necessary facility specific credentialing documents/process including competency, compliance, health files and facility specific questionnaires. Complete annual performance evaluations on all MRF territory personnel. Coordinate and implement communication protocols with Techs and UMS equipment service department to ensure proper documentation and timely service is provided to all field equipment. Trouble shoot equipment issues with assistance of service department and/or manufacturer.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Current experience as an MRF Lead Tech. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Proficient with Artemis, Profuse, Cloud and all pertinent Applications. Current BLS/CPR Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective decision-making skills Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with service companies, manufacturers, and other providers/suppliers.

    Essential Functions of Lithotripsy / Radiology Technologist

    Operate lithotripter at assigned site in a manner that ensures patient safety while assisting urologist to provide a quality lithotripsy treatment. Operate C-arm, fluoroscopy equipment as applicable during lithotripsy. Perform documentation and data entry of lithotripsy procedures. Complete daily patient log and provide to UMS accounting personnel and facility personnel, as applicable. Perform daily quality control verification on lithotripter and document. Ask the urologist for direction as to treatment strategy and parameters for each lithotripsy procedure. Utilize as Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to minimize x-ray exposure to UMS personnel, patient, physician, and facility staff and maintain high quality radiological procedures. Assess equipment malfunction, contact appropriate support, troubleshoot, document all actions, and provide information to Regional Manager and other personnel as directed. Must become proficient with anatomy and locating kidney stones on x-rays and fluoroscopy.

    Education, Credentials, Licenses of Lithotripsy / Radiology Technologist

    Graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology. Must have current ARRT certification and state licensure, as applicable. Current Healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) or required to be completed within thirty (30) days of employment. It is the R.T.'s responsibility to assure all required licensure and/or certification is maintained and current.

    Specialized Knowledge of Lithotripsy / Radiology Technologist:

    C-arm and fluoroscopy experience required Shockwave Lithotripsy (SWL) experience desired Knowledge of computers desired
