    Role Overview

    The Emerging Markets, Brazil Sales - Executive Director will be responsible for originating, developing, and managing senior institutional client relationships with a primary focus on Brazil. This individual will lead coverage of institutional clients including hedge funds, banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions, delivering cross-asset solutions across FX, rates, credit, and related Emerging Markets products. The role requires a senior sales professional with strong knowledge of the Brazilian market, deep client relationships, and the ability to partner across trading, structuring, banking, legal, compliance, and operations to provide thoughtful, commercially relevant solutions.

    Responsibilities

    Lead institutional sales coverage for clients focused on Brazil, developing and expanding relationships across hedge funds, banks, asset managers, and other institutional accounts.

    Originate new business opportunities and deepen existing client relationships to drive revenue growth across Emerging Markets products.

    Provide clients with market color, trade ideas, and strategic insight related to Brazil macro trends, rates, FX, credit, and political and economic developments.

    Partner closely with trading, structuring, financing, and banking teams to deliver coordinated cross-asset solutions tailored to client needs.

    Identify client demand, anticipate market trends, and position the firm's capabilities to capture new opportunities in Brazil-related markets.

    Act as a senior point of contact for client coverage, ensuring strong execution, high-touch relationship management, and consistent follow-through.

    Expand wallet share within existing accounts while building new relationships across targeted institutional investors.

    Work across internal stakeholders to support client onboarding, documentation, approvals, and transaction execution.

    Collaborate with legal, compliance, credit, and operations teams to ensure all business activity is conducted within regulatory and firm guidelines.

    Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team strategy, commercial discipline, and best practices across the platform.

    Qualifications

    Significant experience in institutional sales within Global Markets, Sales and Trading, or Capital Markets, with direct coverage responsibility for Brazilian clients or Brazil-related products.

    Strong product knowledge across FX, rates, credit, and broader Emerging Markets solutions.

    Proven ability to build and monetize senior relationships with institutional investors including hedge funds, banks, and asset managers.

    Strong understanding of the Brazilian macroeconomic, political, and market landscape, and the ability to translate developments into actionable client ideas.

    Demonstrated success in revenue generation, client development, and opportunity sourcing within a fast-paced institutional sales environment.

    Ability to work effectively across business lines and partner with trading, structuring, banking, legal, compliance, and operations teams.

    Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both clients and internal stakeholders.

    Experience with client onboarding and trading documentation processes is preferred.

    Portuguese is required, Spanish is a plus.

    Education

    Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

    Role Overview

    The VP, Corporate & Financial Sponsor Structuring will partner closely with Sales and Trading to originate, structure, and deliver differentiated Rates and FX solutions for Corporates, Financial Sponsors, and Project Finance clients in the US (working in collaboration with the global structuring hub). The role focuses on private-side solutions/structuring, developing new trade ideas, improving franchise quality, and enhancing scalability through automation and strong cross-functional coordination. Secondary product exposure may include commodities, equity, credit, and inflation as needed to support client objectives.

    Responsibilities

    Work alongside Sales teams to build pipeline and improve the quality of the client franchise through differentiated trade ideas, structuring expertise in key areas, and automation of recurring processes.

    Originate, design, price and deliver Rates and FX solutions tailored to client objectives

    Participate in client calls and meetings related to structuring pitches to obtain first-hand feedback on product delivery, solution fit, and client interest; translate feedback into refinements of trade ideas and execution approach.

    Maintain frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, including Trading, Banking, Financing teams, and XVA partners across geographies, to align on pricing, risk, documentation, execution, and delivery timelines.

    Support structuring and execution topics including structured FX / FX options, deal-contingent Rates and FX, and Project Finance hedging requirements.

    Lead or contribute to XVA and RWA optimization for collateralized and uncollateralized counterparties, incorporating specific CSAs and client requirements.

    Pitch and Coordinate New Issue Swap, ensuring effective connectivity between client, trading, and operational stakeholders.

    Contribute to new product development by identifying market needs, defining product requirements, partnering with risk/legal/operations on governance and documentation, and supporting go-to-market readiness.

    Provide strong documentation and process discipline, including expertise and collaboration on ISDAs and CSAs, and awareness of Hedge Accounting under US GAAP considerations where relevant to client solutions.

    Develop tools, analytics, and automation to improve speed-to-market for indicative pricing, scenario analysis, pitch materials, and recurring internal workflows.

    Qualifications

    Required

    Previous experience and demonstrated success in a similar structuring/solutions role at an appropriate level.

    Strong knowledge of Rates and Structured FX derivatives, with the ability to translate objectives into executable structures.

    Prior experience in a related role (trading and/or sales experience is beneficial).

    Proven ability to collaborate across Sales, Trading, Banking, Financing, and XVA, and to engage directly with external clients.

    Desirable

    Ability to code and automate processes; comfort building scalable tools to improve structuring delivery.

    Experience with new product development; XVA and RWA optimization; New Issue Swap coordination; structured FX; deal-contingent Rates and FX; Project Finance hedging; ISDA/CSA documentation; Hedge Accounting under US GAAP.

The salesperson will coordinate between trading, banking and financing in order to best service the customer with the firm's offerings. The salesperson should have a working knowledge of the product offering of the firm as well as the ability to work across business lines and personalities to develop and nurture firm relationships.

    Responsibility Statements: Initiates, develops and enhances relationships with traders and PMs at existing clients and targeted prospects, with the objective of enhancing revenue generation Act as is the primary and first point of contact in all client interactions. Shapes the client perception of the firm and ensures that our clients are aware of and utilize all aspects of our relevant product offerings. Connect originators with lenders, buyers with sellers, clients with bankers and, overall, problems to solutions. Sometimes that is as simple as filling a bond axe, but others it is knowing who at the firm is best fit to answer a customer's question or a customer who has been able to structure creative private solutions for originators. Acquire a strong grasp of the bank's product offering and mold those offerings to the needs of the client. This includes a working knowledge of the trading desk products, ABS banking and other business lines within Santander US Capital Markets. Capability to work collaboratively with senior partner as well as the rest of the sales force, trading desks and bankers. Ability to gather information and distribute it to the appropriate risk takers and business partners. Discerns relevant research, desk color and banking transactions that are relevant to the client and distributes them accordingly. Participates in joint calling effort with bankers in an effort to uncover public and private opportunities with clients.
