Summary:
Perform in-process and final magnetic particle inspections (MT/MPI) on firearm barrels, bolts, and other ferromagnetic components to ensure compliance with commercial (SAAMI) and DoD standards under the technical direction of the Responsible Level III.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct MT inspections using bench, coil, central-conductor, and yoke methods.
Execute proof-fire and 100% MT flow per HPT requirements for commercial and military lots.
Perform system checks (bath concentration, light levels, magnetizing current) and maintain calibration records.
Interpret indications to applicable acceptance criteria (ASTM/ASME, MIL-STD, customer specs).
Demagnetize and verify parts before release; complete reports, defect maps, and traceability documentation.
Support preventive maintenance, calibration, and cross-department collaboration (Production, QA, Engineering).
Uphold safety, PPE, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications:
Level II MT certification under SNT-TC-1A.
Knowledge of ASTM E3024/E709, and familiarity with ASME Section V and MIL-STD-1907/1916.
Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.
Proficiency with MT benches/yokes, UV-A meters, gauss meters, and pie/QQI gauges.
Strong documentation, vision, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Experience in small-arms or defense manufacturing.
Familiarity with ASTM E1444/E1444M or NAS-410.
Additional NDT certifications (PT, VT, UT, ET).
Knowledge of manual inspection tools (calipers, micrometers).
Work Environment:
Standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, exposure to oils/particles, and low-light conditions for fluorescent MT. Overtime and weekend work may be required. ITAR/EAR compliance applies.

JOB SUMMARY: The Installation Technician works with a team to perform tasks involved in installing precast foundation walls on-site for new construction projects. The position requires travel to and from job sites where overnight stays are involved, depending on the job location and requirements.
Key performance objectives are:
•Understand plans and specifications.
•Master the installation process.
•Adhere to all safety policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Other duties may be assigned.
•Prepare job site layout using a total station instrument. Use the drawing provided by the CAD designer to lay out the foundation footprint and ensure proper placement of walls.
•Coordinate with the crew foreman to ensure proper preparation on-site for all structures being delivered.
•Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance of trucks and installation equipment is requested or reported promptly when it does not meet the OEM and state-mandated schedule.
•Continually improve your understanding of local construction specifications and requirements. Complete all required SWA, OSHA, and other training.
•Maintain a high level of teamwork among crews. Help drive Clients “can-do” and “team” attitude.
•Be safety-oriented and know our safety requirements. Enforce subordinate compliance with all company safety policies.
•Ensure proper installation of concrete walls per SWA specifications, SWA training, and SWA installation manual.
•Maintain high customer satisfaction by assuming all facets of the installation with customer satisfaction as a priority.
•Other tasks as instructed by management. These tasks may be unrelated to the Installation Crew Technician responsibilities listed here, but the client is a small business where employees must wear multiple hats. · Maintaining clean mixer trucks and batch plants.
· Minimizing downtime.
· Producing quality concrete that meets specs and quality control standards.
· Contributing to the companies overall success in other ways as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Other duties may be assigned.
· Operate Mixer Truck – Load and mix concrete at the batch plant, then pour into precast forms in the shops.
· Clean and Maintain Mixer Trucks- (This is a crucial duty of this role.) The Mixer Driver will be expected to clean the trucks and maintain their cleanliness. Assist with maintenance of the mixer trucks as coordinated with the maintenance manager.
· Batch Plant Operations – Assist with daily batch plant operations. This includes loading hoppers, batching concrete, and other tasks as needed.
· Lead Batch Plant Cleaning and Maintenance – (This is a crucial duty of this role.) Lead daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed cleaning and maintenance tasks. Help determine what tasks are required and ensure such tasks are performed. Constantly work towards the goal of having a clean, well-organized plant with minimal downtime.
· Special Batch Plant Projects – Assist with special batch plant projects, such as making modifications or additions.
· Quality Control – Assist with quality control as the Quality Control Manager directs. This may include tasks related to concrete testing, aggregate testing, documentation, organization, and/or other areas.
· As instructed by managers. These tasks may be unrelated to the Batch Plant Operator’s other responsibilities listed here. Still, the company is a small business where employees must wear multiple hats.
