Truck Service Advisor

As a Truck Service Advisor, you will assist customers throughout the buying process, coordinating and providing information to complete a satisfactory repair transaction. TSA personnel are required to have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide.

Qualified candidates must have a neat clean appearance, a great attitude and willingness to work flexible schedules.

Prior related experience is helpful but is not required to be hired. TSA's will learn a working knowledge of shop repair policy and procedures and be willing to assist when needed.

A qualified candidate will spend a significant amount of time at the sales counter and is expected to be a sales leader. A Truck Service Advisor learns the necessary policies and procedures, paperwork and people-work required to operate the shop. TSA's must be an expert in the art of customer service and be willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer

Pay: Depending on location and experience

Hours: Monday thru Friday 7am-5pm and Rotating Saturdays 7am-12pm

Responsibilities:

Perform assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracyDiagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs, if authorized by the Manager and the customerEnsure availability of parts.Saving and tagging parts if under warranty or if requested by the Manager (for customers).Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.Notify the Manager if additional work is required or if repairs/work cannot be completed within, the time promised.Document work performed as directed by the Manager.Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair and ensure vehicles remain clean.Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes.Maintain the shop area by keeping it neat, and clean and remain accountable for all tools used.Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as safety requirements, hazardous waste disposal, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other policies, procedures, and programs as required.Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses. Maintain safety awareness at all times.The mechanic will be required to work closely with others or independently.
