    Position Description

    As a Human Resources Generalist, you will support the full employee lifecycle for our St. Thomas/St. John workforce. Youll be involved in recruiting and hiring, welcoming new employees through onboarding, maintaining accurate HR records and employment documentation, and providing day-to-day HR and administrative support.


    In this role, youll work closely with employees, field teams, and leadership to address HR questions, support employee relations, and help ensure HR practices are consistent, compliant, and running smoothly across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Coordinate and deliver employee onboarding, ensuring completion of required paperwork, employment eligibility verification, background checks, and a smooth transition into the organization.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation, supporting compliance with employment requirements, labor laws, workplace regulations, and company policies.Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing guidance on workplace policies, supporting employee relations matters, and assisting with investigations and issue resolution as needed.Support benefits and HR programs by responding to employee inquiries, assisting with enrollment activities, and coordinating with internal teams or external partners.Provide day-to-day HR administrative and operational support, including HR system updates, reporting, coordination with payroll and benefits partners, and support of routine HR processes.Assist with HR system maintenance, reporting, and special projects, providing backup support to the HR team as needed.Work closely with supervisors and leadership to support workforce needs, reinforce HR practices in the field, contribute to training and HR tools, and promote consistent, effective HR practices across the organization.Provide additional support as needed to assist with HR functions and company initiatives across the territory.

    Compensation & Benefits

    The base salary for this position is one component of J. Benton Constructions total compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidates skills, experience, education, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.

    Position Description


    The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources department with a wide range of administrative and operational HR functions. This role plays a key part in recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.


    Key Responsibilities


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Position Summary:

    The IT Technician is responsible for overseeing all technological operations within the resort, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems that support daily operations. This role manages both the strategic direction and hands-on technical support for all IT infrastructure, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, property management systems, telecommunications, networking, servers, and software applications. The IT Manager ensures the continuous availability of services, implements upgrades and improvements, and coordinates IT solutions that meet the evolving needs of the resort.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Oversee and maintain systems including (but not limited to): Silverware POS, Maestro PMS, Retail Sales systems, Asterisk VOIP PBX, Cisco switch management, Ubiquiti Wireless Controller, Windows Server (2003–2012) Administration, Backup Assist Administration, SonicWall firewall and network management, ESET NOD32 Antivirus remote administration, Optimum Control, Windows Group Policy, Active Directory, Domain and DNS management.Design, configure, and support Layer 1–Layer 3 network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Guarantee secure and reliable access to all IT systems, including email, voice, data, and financial transactions.Provide Tier III technical support to all end users and departments.Respond promptly to high-priority IT incidents and minimize downtime; maintain flexible availability for nights and weekends.Monitor and verify operational status of all systems and infrastructure on a continuous basis.Investigate and address network and hardware utilization issues based on performance metrics.Perform system updates, patches, and preventative maintenance at times that minimize disruption to resort operations.Maintain daily and monthly backups, store copies off-site, and ensure disaster recovery preparedness.Verify financial system backups (QuickBooks Cloud Backup, Backup Assist) and file integrity.Audit systems regularly for security access, file structure, and user permissions.Clear logs for servers, switches, domain controllers, and application servers to maintain performance.Recommend and implement technological solutions that maximize ROI and operational efficiency.Negotiate and manage software, hardware, and service vendor contracts and ensure licensing compliance.Collaborate with department leaders to align IT initiatives with operational needs.Document IT processes, updates, and changes for senior management review.Administer enterprise-level Active Directory, Group Policy, domain accounts, and access rights.Facilitate user onboarding/offboarding and ensure proper security measures are applied.

    Required Skills & Abilities

    Expert knowledge of server administration, networking, and infrastructure support.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Skilled in contract negotiation, vendor relations, and budget-conscious technology planning.Capability to physically install, troubleshoot, and maintain wired and wireless network devices.

    Education & Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT management or senior systems/network administration.Proven experience with POS and PMS systems in the hospitality industry preferred.Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and backup technologies.
