The Director of Innovation leads enterprise innovation initiatives that support HumanGood’s strategic priorities, resident and consumer experience, operational effectiveness, and long-term organizational growth. This individual contributor role partners with senior leaders, community teams, residents, vendors, and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, evaluate needs, design solutions, and implement scalable improvements.
The Director applies human-centered design, research, project management, data analysis, and change leadership practices to move ideas from concept through testing, implementation, and measurement. The role develops business cases, manages cross-functional innovation projects, and supports adoption of new programs, services, systems, tools, and processes across the organization.
Typical responsibilities for this role:
Supports the vision, strategy, and priorities of the innovation function in alignment with HumanGood’s broader organizational strategy, resident experience goals, and operational priorities.Leads enterprise innovation initiatives from ideation through research, design, testing, implementation, measurement, and scaling.Partners with senior leaders, department heads, community leaders, residents, vendors, and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, define needs, evaluate options, and develop practical solutions.Consults with leaders on business strategy, innovation opportunities, process improvement, and strategic planning efforts, including facilitating workshops and related planning processes.Designs and conducts qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, focus groups, stakeholder discovery, data analysis, and other methods to understand needs, test assumptions, and inform recommendations.Analyzes and synthesizes research findings, stakeholder feedback, operational data, and business information to identify themes, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.Develops prototypes, experiments, pilots, business cases, and decision-support materials to evaluate potential solutions and support leadership decision-making.Manages multiple innovation projects concurrently, including scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, resources, vendor coordination, communications, documentation, and outcome measures.Coordinates the launch, implementation, monitoring, refinement, and transition of new programs, services, systems, tools, and processes.Tracks project progress, resolves issues, provides troubleshooting support, and communicates updates, recommendations, and outcomes to appropriate stakeholders.Builds strong working relationships across corporate functions, communities, residents, vendors, and external partners to support adoption, alignment, and successful innovation outcomes.Participates in senior leadership or executive-level meetings as needed, including supporting agenda design, preparation, follow-up, and communication.Leads cross-functional project teams, consultants, vendors, and initiative workgroups through influence to support planning, execution, implementation, adoption, and sustainment of assigned innovation initiatives.Models HumanGood’s mission, values, service expectations, and commitment to continuous improvement.To be successful in this role, you should have:

The Regional Employee Relations Manager serves as a strategic Human Resources partner to operational and HR leaders across a multi-site portfolio of Life Plan Communities. The role is responsible for leading complex employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, advising leaders on policy and employment risk, and supporting consistent, compliant, and effective HR practices across the region.
This position also contributes to broader regional HR priorities, including talent management, leadership support, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and workforce planning. The role operates with a high degree of judgment and discretion in a complex, multi-site senior living environment.
Key responsibilities:
Leads prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into team member complaints and workplace concerns, including allegations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, and workplace conflict. Documents findings, assess credibility, and provide well-supported recommendations to leadership.Serves as a trusted advisor to Executive Directors, community HR leaders, and regional operational leadership by providing guidance on employee relations issues, policy application, corrective action, and employment risk.Promotes consistent and fair application of HR policies, practices, and corrective actions across supported communities, while helping leaders balance business needs, employee experience, and compliance obligations.Supports community HR leaders in day-to-day HR operations and employee relations matters, helping ensure consistent execution of HR practices across the region.Interprets and applies company policies and employment laws, including wage and hour requirements and other federal, state, and local employment obligations relevant to the supported communities.Partners with HR and operational leadership on broader regional initiatives involving talent management, performance management, succession planning, workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership effectiveness.Monitors and identifies trends in employee relations, turnover, engagement, and other workforce indicators, and recommends proactive actions to reduce risk and improve organizational effectiveness.Designs and delivers coaching and training for leaders and HR partners on topics such as performance management, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, policy application, and HR best practices.Maintains accurate, timely, and well-organized documentation related to investigations, employee relations matters, and other sensitive HR issues.Partners with senior HR leadership and Legal on escalated, high-risk, or litigation-related matters, including matters involving significant legal, reputational, or operational exposure.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.5-8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including substantial employee relations responsibility.Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations; multi-state experience preferred. Experience with CA is required. Ability to manage multiple priorities across geographically dispersed locations.Strong judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills sufficient to assess risk, interpret facts, and recommend practical solutions.Ability to travel to support communities as needed (about 25%)
