Job DescriptionThis Dual Posting is linked with Job ID 57557 (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Assistant) and only one candidate will be hired for the role. Final title will depend on the qualifications of the final candidate.
This position will provide care for patients within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) through the use of the nursing process during consultations, treatments and follow-up care. This position will work collaboratively with PM&R physicians treating in a high volume clinic setting patients that have Traumatic Bring Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee and Stroke.
The key duties of this position is:
Evaluation, management, treatment of PM&R patients following discharge from an acute care and post acute care hospitalization. Collaborate with the physician and other health care professionals in the development of treatment goals and care plans and coordinate services and treatments in order to implement and accomplish these goals and plans.
Act as a resource person for patients, families, nursing staff and other health care professionals to effectively intercede with families and patients and resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care services.
Inpatient care and follow-up in collaboration with collaborating physicians.
Participate in research studies and clinical trials as determined by the establishment of studies and trials.

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist is necessary.
If a new graduate, the first available nationally recognized certification examination must be taken and successfully completed.
