    Job Description

    This is an on-call casual position responsible for responding to disasters in support of state and federal government efforts. The Emergency Medical Technician may be deployed for periods ranging from 14 to 120 days to areas impacted by significant disasters across the United States and its territories. Compensation rates will vary depending on the specific disaster and location. 

    The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients.  They will competently function as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and community centered care.  They serve as an advocate for the patient and their family and intercedes on their behalf by acting as a liaison for patients and their families with respect to their rights and beliefs.     Key Responsibilities

    Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work. Proactively and independently administer basic care, visual acuity, basic wound care, changing bandages or administering medications within scope of practice. Assess and document patient’s vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, prescribed medications. Establish observable and documentable interventions within protocols.  Report all changes in patient’s conditions to the medical provider. Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed. Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions. Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies. Restock clinical and provider areas once supplies are received. Crosstrain to work within in the clinics, emergency room, and inpatient units. On-call rotation schedule participation as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education Required:  

    Current and unrestricted EMT license from a US state or territory. National Registry EMT certification to provide healthcare within scope of practice. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). 

    Physical Demands: 

    Work is normally performed in Austere conditions  Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs. 

    Other Special Qualifications: 

    US Citizen. Current State License; National Registry Emergency Technician certification.  Live near a major airport  Be able to respond to site within 72 hours Clear a Child Neglect and Abuse Check and other background requirements.

    About This Job:

    We are looking for a compassionate and reliable female caregiver (age 25–50) to provide part-time assistance to a female client in Raleigh, NC, who is currently under treatment for a possible autoimmune disorder(not a contagious condition). The client experiences severe migraines, nausea, dizziness, and joint pain, but remains mobile and independent in walking.

    Job Details:

    Location: Raleigh, NC (27606)Start Date: OctoberSchedule:
    - 1–2 times per week
    - Afternoons, 2–6 PM or 2–5 PMRate: $17.50 per hour

    Responsibilities include:Light household tasks
    Meal preparation
    Transportation (valid driver's license & own vehicle required)
    Escort to doctor's appointments (2–3 per month)

    Requirements:

    Female caregiver, age 25–50 preferredAdaptable and patient

    Requirements:

    CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.Current caregiver training/certification per state requirements, such as CNA/GNA/PCA/DCA, or the willingness/ability to obtain.Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

    Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

    At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.Experience with memory care is a plus, but not required.Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with dignity and respect.Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
