    Job Description

    This position is contingent on project award.

    The Assistant Nurse Manager supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing nursing services and daily clinical operations to help ensure patients receive timely, culturally competent, trauma-informed, on-site health care that meets contract requirements, applicable detention standards, community standards of care, and state licensure requirements. The role supports nursing supervision, patient screening and follow-up, sick call processes, emergency response readiness, continuity of care during transfer or release, staff training, quality improvement, risk management, and secure medical documentation practices.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Support the Nurse Manager in supervising nursing staff and day-to-day nursing operations to maintain safe, timely, and compliant patient care delivery. Support staffing coordination, daily assignments, and coverage planning for nursing services in line with approved staffing levels and operational needs. Support delivery of initial medical screening within 12 hours of patient arrival and timely referral to a qualified licensed health care practitioner when screening findings require further evaluation. Support completion and tracking of full health assessments within the required timeframes and ensure follow-up care for chronic medical, dental, and behavioral health conditions. Ensure daily patient requests for health care services are solicited, triaged, tracked, and documented through an accountable written system and within the electronic health record. Support delivery and coordination of emergent, urgent, acute, chronic, ambulatory, and emergency nursing care within the facility's approved care level capabilities. Coordinate nursing care with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health staff, dental staff, and other health professionals to revise treatment plans and support continuity of care. Support response to medical emergencies, including initial stabilization, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator use, emergency first aid, and safe transfer for higher-level care when required. Support preparation and communication of medical transfer information, including current medications, diagnoses, appointments, equipment, and precautions needed for continuity of care. Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities and support review of treatment progress, record quality, and adherence to clinical requirements. Support implementation of culturally competent and trauma-informed care practices for a diverse patient population. Use professional in-person, telephonic, video, or bilingual language assistance resources to support accurate, timely, and effective communication with patients at no cost to the patient. Maintain accurate, secure, and timely medical documentation and support use of an Office of the National Coordinator-certified electronic health record system. Protect patient confidentiality and restrict access to health and personal information to authorized personnel only, in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements. Support identification, escalation, and contract-timed reporting of serious medical conditions, serious mental disorders or conditions, suicide precautions, and emergency off-site care. Support orientation, in-service education, and emergency readiness training for staff on required clinical and safety subjects. Participate in maintaining Basic Life Support readiness and contract-required emergency preparedness, evacuation, and life-safety training. Perform direct Registered Nurse duties as needed to meet patient care and operational needs. Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:
    Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas or the ability to obtain one. Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    Education Required:
    Graduate from a baccalaureate or graduate nursing program for Registered Nurses located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
    Required Attributes and Professional Qualities:
    Ability to support supervision of nursing staff and daily nursing operations. Ability to provide or support timely nursing assessment, triage, follow-up, and continuity of care. Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with internal and external care partners. Ability to deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed care. Ability to work accurately in an electronic health record and maintain secure documentation. Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing. Ability to support effective communication with patients who have limited English proficiency through approved language assistance resources. Ability to support emergency response, transfer coordination, and staff readiness activities. Ability to participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.
    Physical Requirements:
    Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance. Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile. Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds. Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self). Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary. Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds. Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. Average manual dexterity for computer operation. Phone or computer use for extended periods of time.
    Other Special Qualifications:
    Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S. Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment. U.S. citizen and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty). Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation. Poses or have ability to obtain required security clearances. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

    Salary: base pay will be $20 per hour to be paid on a bi-weekly schedule.

    Note: Candidates must be available to work shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

    Schedule: Training will be for the first 6 weeks (5 days a week/ 9 hours per day w/ 1 hr unpaid lunch) and will consists of 4 weeks classroom training + 2 weeks on-the-job training. After you graduate from training, Agents could be scheduled for Sun-Thurs, Sat - Wed, or the entire weekend, between the hours of 8A-8P (5 days a week/9 hours per day w/ 1 hr unpaid lunch). Agents are scheduled based on business needs. Weekends are rotating based on our work optimization report and all employees are required to work 3 holidays per year.

    This position is fully office based.

    Key Responsibilities

    Job Description

    International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) to provide front-line administrative and patient support within Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) clinics.

    As an MSA, you will often be the first person a Veteran interacts with when accessing care. Your work helps ensure appointments are scheduled correctly, records are accurate, and Veterans receive timely access to healthcare services.     Key Responsibilities
    • Welcome and assist Veterans, visitors, and staff with professionalism and respect.
    • Schedule, cancel, and manage patient appointments according to VA guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in the electronic health record.
    • Provide clerical and administrative support to clinic staff and care teams.
    • Route calls appropriately and assist patients with general questions and requests.
    • Monitor clinic schedules, update no-show appointments, and manage waiting lists.

    Qualifications

    **POSITION IS LOCATED IN HAGERSTOWN, MD**

    This position is eligible for an additional sign on bonus and daily per diem.

    Provide on-site nursing services within the facility health services program, including initial medical screening, support for comprehensive health assessments, daily sick call support, medication administration, emergency response, patient documentation, continuity-of-care support, and culturally competent, trauma-informed care for patients in accordance with community standards of care, applicable detention standards, facility policies, and state licensure and credentialing requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Perform on-site nursing functions within current state licensure, certification, credentialing, facility policies, and accepted standards of care.     This position is in support of the County of Sarasota Florida to provide care for those with special needs who are displaced in the event of a largescale disaster. This position requires the individual to be able to respond to a disaster with in 24 hours of notice and to establish care with in 72 hours of notification. This is a post disaster mission and will require the individual to be onsite until conclusion of the operation.

    Provide direct behavioral health support within the dedicated Behavioral Health Unit to assist with structured groups, monitor patients, and support Behavioral Health Providers in delivering behavioral health treatment for patients with serious mental illness and mental health conditions of moderate severity. Perform duties in a trauma-informed, safety-focused, and therapeutic care milieu consistent with contract-required behavioral health operations, patient monitoring, and programming requirements.

    Ability to assist with groups, monitor patients, and support Behavioral Health Providers. Ability to support evidence-based group programming and psychoeducational activities. Ability to perform patient observation and communicate behavioral changes and safety concerns. Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation in required record systems. Knowledge of and ability to follow facility procedures for suicide prevention and intervention, nonviolent crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, emergency response, patient confidentiality, and health record handling.
    Physical Requirements:
    Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance. Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile. Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds. Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self). Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary. Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds. Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. Average manual dexterity for computer operation. Phone or computer use for extended periods of time.
    Other Special Qualifications:
    Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S. Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment. U.S. citizen and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty). Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain assigned security clearance. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
