    Your role

    As a senior product manager, you’ll plan and deliver a roadmap to:

    Develop scalable and flexible pricing and packaging solutions: support diverse employer segments, ensuring accessibility while spearheading maximum lifetime value (LTV). Identify product-led growth opportunities to increase self-serve employer activation and drive acquisition.Use data to enhance performance: Encourage employers to act more frequently, experiment with pricing, and increase customer participation across different groups. Identify friction points in the hiring flow and drive interventions that maximize revenue potential while preserving user trust and experience.Plan for scale: evaluate high-leverage areas of the product in service of Handshake’s continued growth to new student populations, partner types and geographic regions

    You’ll own the lifecycle end-to-end for your product area, including:

    Product development process: You'll lead a high performing cross-functional team, partner with engineering and design partners from research and roadmap planning to sprint-level delivery. You'll work closely with data science and revenue operations teams to uncover insights on employer behavior, pricing elasticity, and feature adoption to drive monetization experiments. You'll translate findings into actionable product roadmap decisions.Launch and adoption: Partner closely on go-to-market and implementation, working with marketing, sales and customer success. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on. It’s never someone else’s problem. You’ll run beta programs and pilots to maximize learning and minimize code investment, getting close to the customer and the details through the process.Cross-Handshake partnership: Work with stakeholders across the employer business and the other sides of the Handshake ecosystem (Education and Student) to bring our partners along as we innovate quicklyGoals, metrics and tracking: Create a robust and clear thread of data from strategy through development through in-market iteration.

    Your Experience

    Well-developed foundation in roadmap development and releasing products for complex, multifaceted marketplace businesses or SaaS platforms, ideally in SaaS or B2B2C marketplace like Handshake.5+ years partnering with engineering teams to ship code. Ideally in a many-stakeholder environment with dependencies and collaboration.Must be highly proficient in presenting. This includes presenting to customers, users, team members, and senior managers.Focused on the customer. You’ve developed compelling products by diving deep into the world of the user, comprehending their goals, motivations, words, and actions relating to the problems we solve. You listen and explore, and are able to guide research and customer conversations to produce truly applicable findings. You can separate the needs of the customer and the user and serve both parties.You are confident using data, with judgment of its limitations and the minimum information needed to make decisions. You’ve partnered with data scientists for complex investigations, while also extracting data yourself and setting up dashboards for ongoing tracking.You’re confident in making complex tradeoffs and educating all stakeholders on those tradeoffs through the process. You can point to times where you haven’t shipped exactly what people have asked for, and yet created high satisfaction for the product.Mission-aligned.     Handshake AI is hiring a Finance Projects Lead reporting to the Controller. In this role you will manage and improve the systems and processes involved in payments to Handshake AI fellows and specialists, including onboarding, contract management, incentives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Accounting. The position also involves supporting customer and project operations by maintaining revenue and profitability reporting, streamlining finance systems, and overseeing customer billing. Additionally, the role plays a key part collaborating with corporate accounting, FP&A and core business operations on budget, key metrics and forecasting process. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys establishing new processes and building workflows, is able to adapt quickly, and can collaborate and plan with various cross-functional stakeholders.

    Your role

    Design and implement payment-related procedures, policies, and internal controls, including contractor onboarding, contract management, and payment accuracy reviews

    Lead systems projects for revenue tracking, customer billing and finance integration

    Collaborate with Accounting and Operations teams, to ensure timely and accurate contractor payments execution

    Maintain and design contractor incentives payment processes

    Work with Support and Marketing teams to improve fellows’ experience and external communications

    Manage weekly and monthly reporting on project revenue and profitability metrics

    Partner with product/engineering teams on pay-related and project tracking product enhancements

    Collaborate with corporate Accounting, FP&A, and Business Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and BVA reviews; develop dashboards and prepare management/BOD review materials

    Support financial model updates, review key metrics and new arrangements. Work with financial reporting team to establish and monitor revenue recognition policies and customer arrangement changes

    Your experience

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, relevant certifications (such CPA) preferred

    Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in finance, accounting, or project management, with a proven track record of managing complex financial projects

    Project Management: Strong project planning, execution, and monitoring skills; ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget

    Financial Analysis: Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights

    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with stakeholders, preparing reports, and presenting findings

    Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Accounting, Operations, and Product to align project objectives with business goals

    Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management tools; familiarity with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus

    Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail for accurate financial documentation and reporting

    Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, manage workstream leads, and drive accountability for project deliverables

    Compensation Range

    $120K-160K

    Compensation And Level Will Be Based On Experience.

    For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

This role will focus on reducing time-to-value and helping new customers effectively understand, adopt, and integrate our hiring solutions into their workflows.

    Your role

    Product development process: You'll lead a high performing cross-functional team, partner with engineering and design partners from research and roadmap planning to sprint-level delivery. You'll work closely with data science and revenue operations teams to uncover insights on employer behavior, pricing elasticity, and feature adoption to drive monetization experiments. You'll translate findings into actionable product roadmap decisions.Launch and adoption: Partner closely on go-to-market and implementation, working with marketing, sales and customer success. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on. It’s never someone else’s problem.     Your Experience

    Well-developed foundation in roadmap development and releasing products for complex, multifaceted marketplace businesses or SaaS platforms, ideally in SaaS or B2B2C marketplace like Handshake.5+ years partnering with engineering teams to ship code. Ideally in a many-stakeholder environment with dependencies and collaboration.Must be highly proficient in presenting. This includes presenting to customers, users, team members, and senior managers.Focused on the customer. You’ve developed compelling products by diving deep into the world of the user, comprehending their goals, motivations, words, and actions relating to the problems we solve. You listen and explore, and are able to guide research and customer conversations to produce truly applicable findings. You can separate the needs of the customer and the user and serve both parties.You are confident using data, with judgment of its limitations and the minimum information needed to make decisions. You’ve partnered with data scientists for complex investigations, while also extracting data yourself and setting up dashboards for ongoing tracking.You’re confident in making complex tradeoffs and educating all stakeholders on those tradeoffs through the process.
