As a Histotechnician (HT), the incumbent will assume the responsibility of preparing human body tissue for examination by laboratory professionals. Key duties encompass embedding, microtomy, and executing special stain and IHC procedures as directed.
Embedding all types of tissue Sectioning all types of paraffin-embedded tissue Compliance with protocols for embedding and microtomy Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspace Performing special stain and IHC procedures Assisting with case assembly and distribution Filing blocks and slides Proper handling of hazardous waste Maintaining documentation and QA programs Observing laboratory safety precautions and procedures Safeguarding confidential information and upholding security policiesRequirements:
