    Position Overview

    The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support and customer service to various internal and external customers. This individual supports all front office activities, as needed, and performs administrative duties as assigned. Reports to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Office Administrator.

    Summary of Responsibilities

    Provides administrative support to the Office Administrator; completes various projects and tasks, as assignedActs as a customer service representative and establishes a positive image May assist any member of the leadership team directly with special projects, as needed Professionally handles all incoming phone calls and greets visitors and vendorsAssists with customer requests and serves as a resource Responsible for collection and tracking of breakdowns: including matching, attaching, scanning, and uploading of documents Provides internal support for Operations, Transportation, and the facility Leadership TeamSupports Sales representatives by communicating with customers, preparing paperwork for loads, pricing and reportingSupports the Dispatch function by taking calls and transferring to Dispatch, preparing paperwork, and assisting Transportation ManagerOrganizes monthly customer breakdowns and forwards to the assigned Sales Team memberPrepares shipping paperwork and assists with invoicing all outbound loads Places stationery / tools / cleaning supplies/ food orders and, when needed, runs errands to pick them upPrepares and sends daily activity report to required recipients Manages all mail / parcel servicesSupports the A/P function within the facility which includes setting up new vendors, coding invoices, scanning to accounting, and keeping track of paid and unpaid invoicesCreates credit card reportsCreates monthly reports to track wasteMaintains an organized office/workspaceFiles paperwork appropriately Ensures visitors follow sign-in procedures and provides them with PPEMay interchange or cover duties, as needed, with the Office Administrator based on training and experience having done those dutiesOther duties as assigned

    Position Overview:

    The primary function of the Driver is to operate various commercial vehicle and container combinations for extended periods of time, over long distances between company and customer facilities, terminals, yards and/or work sites. The Driver’s main role is to pick up, transport and deliver freight in a safe and efficient manner. This individual will report to the Transportation Manager; Drivers are also supervised and lead by the Dispatchers.

    Summary of Responsibilities:The Driver is the single direct contact responsible for good public relations with the customers and the general public; he or she is expected to act professionally at all timesExecutes customer service requests and material logistics; reports any customer complaints immediately to the Dispatchers; performs job per instructions given verbally or in writing, including those on manifests, bills of lading and/or other shipping documents to determine the location and time of delivery Drops, hooks, spots or otherwise interchanges equipment for loading or unloading at various locations; weighs all transported material entering and leaving the facilityCommunicates professionally (verbally and in writing) with others including company representatives, fellow Drivers, and customersReads, writes and performs basic math to properly complete tickets, bills of lading, trip sheets, logs, incident reports and other paperwork; this also includes effectively filling out required transportation documentation and the ability to read and understand maps or receive driving directions from the Dispatcher in order to arrive at the correct customer locationDemonstrates a basic mechanical knowledge of a tractor/trailer and/or commercial vehicles in order to properly communicate repair requests to the mechanics; additionally, understands how to shift manual transmission engines, control the steering wheel, operate the brake and accelerator pedals, and is able to back and park a tractor-trailer unit per safety expectationsPerforms all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and complies with all federal, state and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle, equipment and cargo; follows established Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations, including DOT equipment inspections, hooks/unhooks trailers, and enters / exits the tractor / trailer safely


    Performs responsibilities while working relatively long hours and performing repetitive work in a tractor; this may require the Driver to work with variable work/rest cycles due to frequent deadlines and meeting delivery schedules, be exposed to environmental extremes, and encounter day-to-day stressful situationsMust be able to perform the following physical functions 1) Must be able to routinely lift 50 or more lbs. throughout an 8-10 hour shift (may request assistance or “team lift” for more than 50 lbs.); examples include lifting and repositioning materials, loading and unloading drums, gaylord boxes and wooden skids; 2) Must be able to climb and descend a tractor catwalk to make trailer connections; 3) Must be able to climb into the back of the trailer and position and balance oneself on uneven material to ensure that loaded materials are secure; 4) Must be able to manually tarp the loadMust demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job and company objectivesDemonstrate understanding of company policies, rules and trainingsThis job description is intended to accurately state the working conditions and the tasks that must be performed for this job; However, the description is not an exhaustive list and the Driver may be required to perform other tasks or other work from time to time as assigned by his manager, the Dispatchers or other members of the Leadership Team; therefore, other duties may be assigned
