Job Description We are currently seeking a Senior MuleSoft Engineer – focus on MuleSoft, APIs, and integrations – to fulfill a contract-to-hire opportunity with our Columbus, Ohio client. As a member of the MuleSoft platform team, you join your fellow team members to analyze and design of software programs and systems and create, analyze, design, modify and test programs and systems. Candidates must currently live in the Columbus, Ohio area and commit to working in-person as required by the client. Currently this in-person schedule is Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This schedule will also include Thursdays starting in September.
Must be eligible for full time employment Responsibilities: You lead the design and implementation of API tooling and frameworks, enhance APIs and integrations, mentor teams on best practices, and ensure reusability, scalability, and high performance.

Design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems such as databases, cloud, or operating systems.
Analyze and modify existing software as well as design, construct, and test.
Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
Conducts highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and knowledge sharing among team members. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Java.
Technical experience with API design and implementation.
Expertise and ability to design, build, and release MuleSoft solutions
Ability to implement industry standard programming techniques by mastering advanced fundamental software development concepts, practices, and procedures, and having the ability to analyze and solve problems in existing systems.
Expertise with unit testing, integration testing and performance/stress testing.
Expertise with cloud-based solutions (Azure is strongly preferred).
Database management skills and understanding of legacy and contemporary data modeling and system architecture.
Track record of executing complex, multi-faceted and organizationally distributed projects.
Strong communication skills.
Enjoys and embraces leading and mentoring other engineers.
Experience on teams leveraging Lean or Agile frameworks.
