Position Summary:

 

The Purchasing Buyer Representative is responsible for forecasting and purchasing merchandise or commodities for Insco branches.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Search and evaluate good suppliers on multiple criteria such as price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection, etc.

· Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety.

· Examine catalogs, industry and company publications, trade journals, commerce publications and directories in order to find the right suppliers.

· Prioritizes and manages forecasting load/purchase order creation to meet various schedules and objectives.

· Ensure transactions are managed in a seamless process from order entry through invoice payment.

· Utilizes practices such as quote analysis, negotiation, and partnering to ensure maximum value for expenditures.

· Evaluates competitive quotations and negotiates agreements that achieve the lowest cost for materials balanced against optimum quantity, quality and on-time delivery.

· Maintain awareness or current market conditions, new products, and supply sources for assigned commodities, new technologies, and methods that enhance the value of the purchasing process.

· Recommend suggested changes to management and internal customers.

· Confers with suppliers to determine factors that affect prices and availability and perform market analysis as needed.

· Supports other departments within the company

· Exhibits accuracy and thoroughness when purchasing product.

· Establishing foreign and domestic suppliers as needed.

· Respond promptly to branch needs and feedback to improve service.

· Studying sales records and inventory levels.

General knowledge of procurement and material inventoryTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite software, specifically proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. Skilled in Epicor Prophet 21, and DSX forecastingExcellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently.Excellent mathematical skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Education and Experience:

Physical Demands:

· Required to lift up to 35 lbs.

Job Description Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, while working in a high volume, sales environment.

Evaluate customer relationships, new and existing account holders, to offer bank products and services
Accountable for the personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management

Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with bank procedures, to record all transactions accurately and balance each day's operations
Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements
Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks and identification
Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts
Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, bank-to-bank wires, and certificates of deposit
Process western union wires and cash advances
Cross-sell bank services and products
Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the bank and its functions Approval limits will be based upon established authority levels
