• Description The Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). CNSs are leaders in health care and improve the outcomes of the organization by functioning through the three spheres of influence – patient, nurse, and system. The CNS demonstrates an advanced level of professional competence in a specialized area of nursing practice. The CNS influences care outcomes by providing expert consultation and implementing improvements in patient care delivery.
