    What you'll be working on:

    Seeing patients with a broad array of patient needs; conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits (not a panel-building role) Treating patients in-office as well as conducting occasional tele-health visits Ongoing collaboration with in-office teammates via daily huddles, as well as with virtual clinical teams  Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to perform in-office procedures  Willing to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for One Medical virtual primary care in additional states

    Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

    At least 2 years of primary care experience required. Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Texas. The ability to build successful relationships with team members and communicate effectively both 1-on-1 and in groups. Can thrive in a fast-growing, mission driven organization focused on using data to improve patient outcomes. Completed an accredited NP or PA program with a national certification

    You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.

    • Drives up to 120 miles a day on a regular basis to a variety of locations within the assigned region. Drives beyond 120 miles as part of extended mileage may be required on special project days. Special projects may include an overnight hotel stay.

    • Collaborates with fellow nurse practitioners to develop best practices to perform work duties efficiently and effectively.

    Required Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of experience as a nurse practitioner, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
    • Active and unrestricted national certification from one of the following organizations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
    • Current state-issued license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). License must be active and unrestricted in state of practice.
    • Prescriber Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license with authority to prescribe per state qualifications. License must be active and unrestricted in state of practice.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.

    Job Duties

    Provides evidence-based, high-quality patient care via in-person and telehealth visits based on clinical and business need. Leads a team of regional employees to ensure patient-focused and culturally sensitive medical care is delivered to patients. Travels to location of team members and performs hands on training, coaching, and mentoring of team in order to optimize performance and reach department and clinical goals. Performs performance management including coaching, monthly 1:1s, and end of year evaluations. Orders/performs pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing, prescribes medication and durable medical equipment, and places referrals as clinically appropriate. Documents thoroughly and accurately in electronic medical records with a focus on ensuring continuity of care while complying with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Collaborates with other teams and leads direct reports with the goal of clinical outcomes, clinical documentation excellence, and exceeding department goals.  Addresses chronic and acute primary care complaints, ascertains medical urgency, and takes appropriate action based on evidence-based guidelines.
