    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Electrical Maintenance Technicians at the Amrize Ravena, NY cement plant work as part of a team to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the plant and quarry in order to maximize operational efficiency. These employees work in an environment of continuous training and improvement; to maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant and quarry mechanical, mobile, and electrical equipment in accordance with plant and mine operating, MSHA, and safety guidelines. This position will report to the Electrical Supervisor.

    WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
    Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles complex mechanical, mobile, quarry, and electrical equipment. Keep up-to-date on all maintenance and safety procedural changes and be instrumental in developing new procedures as required. Write and/or contribute to daily reports and other reports about special projects or incidents as well as use computers for entering work orders, equipment history, etc. Report maintenance problems to the appropriate supervisor, coordinator or engineer for action and/or participate in corrective actions if appropriate. Perform necessary tasks to ensure good housekeeping for a safe and efficient operation. Fill out and follow up on work orders and assist when necessary in: locating and issuing stores materials. Make preventive/proactive inspections and document findings as determined by the maintenance coordinator and continuous improvement groups. Identify, report and assist in resolution of safety and environmental concerns and work practices that may affect the Health & Safety of employees or other parties. As required, explores, understands, and applies new trade tools, techniques, and technologies so as to promote continuous improvement and maintain state-of-the-art skills and methods. Follow all Amrize and MSHA safety procedures and any company initiatives and be an active participant on the Joint Health and Safety Committee and in the development of new procedures such as but not limited to lock out tag out and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) / Job Plans.     WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Required Education: A High School diploma or GED.

    Required Experience: 5+ years as an Industrial Electrician

    Required Language: English The selection of employees shall be in accordance with the selection criteria as established by the company.

    Following the initial selection process all jobs will be filled in accordance with Article III. Desired experience with trouble shooting and repairing. Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Prepare deposit bags in accordance with company policies. Ensures that tickets are verified for numbers, dated and time accuracy and ensure that customer trucks (internal and external customers) leave the yard properly loaded Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce appropriate customer tickets. Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy. Collects COD money and properly records it. Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on daily basis. Transfeall files and tickets transfer files at least twice daily.     Provides excellent customer support to internal and external customers. Ensure that all COD order money is collected and properly documented. Prepare deposit bags in accordance with company policies. Ensures that tickets are verified for numbers, dated and time accuracy and ensure that customer trucks (internal and external customers) leave the yard properly loaded Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce appropriate customer tickets. Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy. Collects COD money and properly records it. Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on daily basis. Transfeall files and tickets transfer files at least twice daily. Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others in their absence. Make recommendations for modifying PMR job plans throughout the facility. Recommend additional spare parts requirements to immediate supervisor. Maintain integrity and general look of all electrical systems. Maintain reliability of equipment within standards. Work with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation, both within your work group and outside of your work group. Troubleshoot potential concerns required to achieve and maintain maximum productivity. Report maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor. Supervise and/or train contractors as required. Generate work order notifications and follow-up as required. Document work order history when jobs are completed. Document all problem solving efforts related to all repeat problems/issues in order to avoid rework and to establish a history related to that problem/issue. Read plans, drawings and manuals to aid in problem solving efforts. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree

    Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Technology

    Required Work Experience:
    Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical field in the cement manufacturing or related industry. Must be able to meet on-call responsibilities as well as emergency call-out to support 24/7 operations.

    Additional Requirements:
    Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
