Primary Duties:
Arranges for the provision of specialized assessments that cannot be conducted in the home environment (e.g., audiological testing, video fluoroscopy studies), and plans adequately for discharge including referrals to appropriate community resources (e.g., outpatient therapy, daycare) able to meet the client needs after discharge. Communicates with a supervisor as scheduled and needed regarding issues related to the delivery of rehab services and individual patient care.
Maintains effective working relationships with other departments and participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and agency in community outreach efforts. Enhances growth and development and enriches personal knowledge and skill through participation in educational programs and affiliations. Maintains ongoing communication with the patient's physician, health care team, and other individuals (e.g. insurance case managers, referring facility personnel) as needed regarding aspects of care and patient's status.
Provides an assessment, with the health care team, of the patient's environment and recommends adaptive equipment and/or home modifications that maximize the patient's functional abilities and safety. Assists in attaining items reimbursable as durable medical equipment. Provides initial and periodic assessments to determine the patient's habilitation/rehabilitation needs. Establishes an effective speech-language pathology/dysphasia treatment plan with the patient, their family/caregiver, their physician, and other health care team members. Modifies the treatment plan as needed. Evaluation includes interview, observation, palpation, specialized assessments including dysphasia assessment, oral motor exam, and receptive/expressive language assessment. Such assessments require tools (e.g., sphygmomanometer, stethoscope) and the possession of sight and hearing senses or prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
Provides medical record entries according to agency standards, professional guidelines, and regulatory requirements for the reimbursement of speech-language pathology services. Provides patient and/or caregiver education regarding the injury/disease process, functional limitations, and the purpose of treatment interventions, in addition to, training in aspects of care the patient/caregiver will need to manage after discharge. Provides speech-language pathology/dysphasia services in accordance with the treatment plan, agency standards, and other professional and regulatory guidelines. Performs procedures and modalities, including associative language exercises, oral motor exercises, aural rehab, and thermal stimulation. Supervises home health aides in aspects of patient care and related activities.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
1-2 years Clinical experience.
License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the State of Maryland or Virginia, or Certificate of Competency by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) if working in the District of Columbia Maryland, or any combination as required based on work location(s).
CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
Valid State Driver's License in good standing.

Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist / Applications Tester to ensure that software builds, updates, and deployed applications meet all performance, usability, and security requirements. The selected candidate will work closely with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to create, execute, and maintain test plans, procedures, and automated scripts for validating applications throughout their lifecycle.
This position requires strong technical testing skills, deep knowledge of Agile practices, and the ability to manage and report on all phases of software quality assurance. Key Responsibilities
• Partner with project managers, developers, architects, and security engineers to develop test plans, procedures, and scenarios for unit, process, functional, system integration, and acceptance testing.
• Validate that all software builds comply with product and service requirements and meet approved standards.
• Test products and procedures to confirm desired functionality, performance, and compliance with acceptance criteria.
• Perform regression testing, unit testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure functionality and stability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for new and existing applications.
• Conduct testing activities in alignment with security, accessibility, and performance standards.
• Support the self-assessment of IT capabilities and report Accessibility Scores.
• Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and pass required compliance checks.
• Create, update, and maintain test documentation in approved repositories for the lifespan of all products and services.
• Maintain validation and testing reports for all software build products and services.
• Analyze vulnerability scan results and recommend remediation strategies for application security.
• Use Jira and Confluence to track defects, document test cases, and report testing progress.
• Collaborate with mission partners and stakeholders to ensure application readiness for deployment.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of QA and testing processes. Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance and application testing in Agile environments.
• Strong skills in test plan development, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.
• Proficiency with development languages and frameworks (JavaScript, Java, NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML, XML, Python).
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP services, usability/accessibility standards, and security compliance.
• Experience with AWS services, Bash, Terraform, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for test tracking and documentation. Education Requirement
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Equivalent work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Skills
• Experience with PKI certificates, TLS encryption, and application security testing.
• Familiarity with COTS application integration and testing.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for compliance and audit readiness. Preferred Certifications
• ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level or higher.
• Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA).
