    This position has a hiring range of $200,750 - $285,000.

    This position is dedicated to providing cardiovascular expertise for the high-volume Solid Organ Transplant Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, which includes liver, kidney, pancreas, and other solid organ transplants. The program is one of the largest and most respected in the country, serving as a major referral center for complex cases.

    The successful candidate will:

    Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care for solid organ (kidney, liver, etc.) transplant candidates and recipients, including pre-transplant evaluation, perioperative management, and long-term post-transplant follow-up. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary transplant team of hepatologists, nephrologists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists.Serve as a key liaison between cardiology and transplant services, ensuring optimal outcomes in a complex, high-acuity patient population. Care for clinical cardiology patients, participate in the inpatient cardiology service, and read cardiac imaging studies (e.g. echocardiography).Diagnostic catheterization competency is optional (opportunities available) Participate actively in teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and students.
