The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner responsible for the care of each patient, performing only those services allowed by South Dakota law. There will be a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner or Physician immediately available for the emergency room 24 hours a day.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited physician assistant program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.Licensed and currently registered as a physician assistant/certified nurse practitioner in the State of South Dakota. Physician Assistant is registered with the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
