    Description:
    36 or 48 hours accepted for the contract.
    For a 48-hour contract, overtime is paid after 48 hours.
    Applicants must demonstrate experience in a 1:5 patient ratio in the work history section.
    ICU experience does not count as PCU experience.
    Targeted patient ratios are typically 1:4 but can be as high as 1:5-6.
    The unit may employ a team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs work together to care for a group of patients.
    Nurses have the flexibility to work in either team nursing or primary nursing roles based on unit needs.
    Passing an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment is required.
    Nurses will be fitted for N95 masks prior to working with high-risk respiratory patients unless a PAPR is needed.
    Experience with drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs) is necessary.
    Travel experience is preferred.
    Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
    The unit specializes in cardiac telemetry, managing drips, and post-cardiac procedures.
    Specialized procedures include cardiac catheterizations, ablations, pacemakers, and ICDs.
    Daily census varies, with nursing care provided for a range of acute medical conditions.
    Mandatory requirements include weekend and holiday availability.
    All requests for time off must be submitted with the initial application.
    No additional time off requests will be accepted after the submission.
    References are not required.
    All state RN licenses are acceptable, with options for temporary licenses.
    Module training hours may be required and are self-reported.

    Experience with high-risk respiratory patients is essential.
    Travelers are encouraged to float to various assignments as needed.
    Flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday is required.
    Lab work must be completed promptly, and a dysrhythmia exam is necessary prior to starting.
    Travelers will be expected to have strong skills in managing and interpreting critical care scenarios.

The PHPA Operations unit provides guidance, expertise, and support in areas including budget, accounting, grants and contracts, personnel, information technology, communication, inventory control, space, fleet, facilities' operations, and general administrative services. The Operations Unit works in partnership with both internal and external customers to coordinate and support efficient and effective operations.\n\n\nThis full-time contractual position serves as Operations Coordinator within the PHPA Operations Unit. This position assists in the direction of the daily operations of PHPA as it relates to grants and contracts and will be the operations lead on the Rural Health Transformation Grant.
