Our crating team is looking for a skilled Woodworker / Carpenter to join our expanding crating operations team. They will be responsible for mostly crafting wooden structures according to the needs of our growing clients all over the United States. Ideal candidate is detail oriented and can work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines. This is a full-time, hourly, warehouse staff position in Edison, New Jersey USA.

    Responsibilities:

    Assembling, disassembling, cutting materials for custom cratesGeneral woodworking, carpentry with attention to detail and accuracyWorking with others in a team on in-house crating projects and on-sites (on demand)Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with building codes and safety regulationsComplete applicable required job-specific training, cGMP, HS&E, Dangerous Goods, etc.Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, storing all materials in designated places.Making sure warehouse is operational and always kept well organizedOrganizing and disposing of unusable scrap at the end of the day or project

    Job Description

    Schedule: Monday- Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm) with some weekend work and OT

    Forklift Operator in Warehouse area. 

    The Forklift Driver / Material Handler tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

     

    Must be trained and certified on the forklift.

    Trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling 

    Proficient in the operation of the stretch wrappers.

    Must be proficient with a forklift on all operations lines.

    Load trucks in the prescribed manner.

    Must demonstrate the ability to complete and make changes to pick sheets.

    Communicate with visitors and customers in a professional manner.

    Must have basic operational knowledge of roll up doors.

    Must be able to understand the inventory procedure.

    Trained and able to demonstrate pallet transfer operations.

    Must demonstrate the ability to reconcile finished product 

    Qualifications

    Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent

    Related Experience:  Previous relevant experience - preferably in a manufacturing environment

    Equipment/Software Skills:  Basic computer knowledge
