    Position Summary:

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    · Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, Construction, or other related field from an ABET and 5 or more years of relevant construction / engineering work experience OR 2-year associate degree in a construction related field and 10 years of experience OR 12 years of relevant construction/engineering experience.

    · Must have experience working with Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1 for SCIF facilities.

    · Must be a U.S. Citizen with permanent residence in the U.S. for at least 3 years.

    · Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).

    The role of Delivery Driver/Furniture Mover is to make local deliveries and pickups in cargo vans and box trucks up to 26ft. These are day trips within a 50 mile radius of Hatfield, PA but not limited to areas of PA, NJ, NY, MD, DE. These deliveries and pickups are scheduled at least a day in advance. This is NOT a small package delivery position. Successful candidates will be skilled as Furniture Movers including proper wrapping and packing techniques. We NEVER cancel shifts. When no deliveries or pickups are scheduled, drivers will be working in the showroom moving furniture and organizing the workspaces. Some key tasks include (but not limited to):


    Key Responsibilities:

    Drive vehicles that deliver and pick up furniture from homes and businesses within a 50 mile radius of Hatfield, PA.

    Working as a two [sometimes three] person team to safely perform in-home delivery and in-home pickup of furniture, art, and home goods. The items are frequently very heavy. Often weighing over 200 lbs.Items are frequently delivered to or picked up from upper or basement levels without elevator accessPerform assembly and disassembly services as needed

    Complete all paperwork for each customer pick up/delivery accurately

    Safely operate all company vehicles

    Complete all applicable safety trainings and abide by OSHA standards

    Follow all federal and state regulations regarding cargo transportation and road safety

    Provide updates to customers on arrival times for deliveries

    If any delays or unexpected events occur, they are reported back to the office immediately.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    Safely operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV), including heavy wreckers, on public highways and roadways in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

    Perform heavy-duty towing, recovery, winching, uprighting, and transport of vehicles from pickup locations to designated destinations

    Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers regarding job status, locations, hazards, and completion of assignments

    Respond to recovery, contract, private, emergency, and on-call towing assignments as dispatched

    Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine inspections of towing equipment and vehicles

    Secure vehicles and loads properly to ensure safe transport

    Perform basic shop and yard duties, including cleaning, servicing, fueling, and washing trucks and equipment

    Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and required reports

    Provide professional, courteous customer service to motorists, law enforcement, and the public

    Demonstrate safe and professional driving behavior while operating company vehicles

    Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or equipment defects promptly

    Adhere to company policies, procedures, and uniform standards at all times

    Skills and Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    This position is responsible for the effective evaluation of properties submitted to the FAIR Plan by means of a physical inspection of the property. This position has final underwriting approval of certain properties within its designated limits of authority.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    This position requires an associate’s degree or related experience in insurance or construction trades. Adequate working knowledge of building construction, plumbing, electrical and heating systems, and the ISO commercial rating schedule is preferred. This position requires the ability to learn new systems along with the review and entering of data with strict attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to communicate with colleagues, clients and/or vendors and an ability to express ideas and concepts clearly is required. Strong organizational and analytical skills in addition to a high level of accuracy are crucial. Must have a safe driving record, be able to work independently, have computer proficiency and maintain confidentiality. Prior insurance experience and knowledge of computers is necessary.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Effectively evaluate the insurability of properties by performing a physical inspection of the interior and exterior of the building and when required, perform replacement cost calculations.Organize workload upon receiving assignments. Make phone calls to set up appointments with the named insured or the designated representative.Upload completed inspection reports, as their appropriate priority, in a timely manner in order to conform to established turnaround times.Underwrite property inspections up to assigned limits of authority, to determine values and insurability.Reduce MPIUA loss through tracking vacant and run-down properties.Provide customer satisfaction through prompt, courteous service.Maintain a favorable public relations image through contact with producers in the employee’s territory.Maintain and care for assigned fleet vehicle and Association’s equipment.Keep accurate records of automobile expenses, expenses incurred on the road, and inspections completed.Attend meetings and seminars to remain updated in relevant technical areas and company policies and procedures.All other duties and projects as assigned.
