Role Description
Zlayt AI is seeking aFull Stack Developer who thrives in 0 1 environments. This is a full-time, on-site role in Austin, TX.
This is not a maintenance role. You will be building new systems from scratch, rapidly prototyping, and shipping production-ready features at high velocity. Youll work across the stackfrom frontend to backend to AI systemsturning ideas into working products in hours or days, not weeks.
Youll be expected to operate with high ownership, minimal direction, and a strong bias toward action.

Build and ship 0 1 features rapidly, often within hours or daysDesign and implement scalable systems while maintaining speedOwn projects end-to-endfrom concept to deploymentWork across the stack (frontend, backend, AI/ML systems)Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new ideasCollaborate closely with leadership to translate business needs into working softwareIdentify bottlenecks and eliminate them to increase development velocityMaintain high standards while balancing speed and pragmatismContinuously explore and apply new technologies to accelerate developmentQualifications
Startup experience strongly preferred (early-stage or high-growth environments)4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure in production environmentsStrong proficiency in Python, especially in AI/ML and NLP contextsExperience building with LLMs and GenAI systems (RAG, vector DBs, etc.)Familiarity with tools like LangChain, PyTorch, Transformers, GPT-based systemsExperience building end-to-end systems quickly, not just contributing to partsProficiency with Django, React, and PostgreSQLStrong system design instincts with a bias toward practical solutionsAbility to operate independently and make decisions with limited guidanceExcellent communication skillscan clearly explain what you're building and whyWhat Success Looks Like
