A growing civil contractor in the Southwest is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple wet utility infrastructure projects including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
This role offers the opportunity to lead critical sitework packages for commercial and public clients across a variety of delivery models such as Design-Build, CMAR, and more. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader who can drive schedule, control costs, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes in the field.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations on assigned utility projects from preconstruction through closeout
Lead scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and cost tracking activities
Coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to maintain alignment on scope and expectations
Participate in internal and external project meetings; document progress and identify potential risk areas
Enforce project contracts, manage field performance, and ensure all deliverables meet contract terms
Support the development of technical submittals and Statements of Qualification (SOQs) for upcoming work
Help prepare and review GMPs, estimates, and proposals across multiple delivery methods
Oversee document flow during design phase and preconstruction activities
Work closely with project executives to report on progress, challenges, and job cost projections
Qualifications7+ years’ experience managing underground utility construction projects (wet utilities preferred)
Proven understanding of alternative delivery methods such as CMAR, DB, DBB, and/or JOC
Ability to lead multiple projects and interface effectively with owners, engineers, and trade partners
Strong organizational and communication skills; capable of managing cost and schedule simultaneously
