Summary Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating high-precision CNC milling equipment to manufacture close-tolerance components for injection molds. Creates and optimizes CNC programs, produces high-quality parts in hardened tool steels and graphite, and supports the Tool Room in mold manufacturing and repair. Essential Functions Program complex 3-axis toolpaths using Mastercam for mold components and electrodes. Use SolidWorks to interpret models and prepare geometry for programming. Set up and operate CNC milling machines including Mikron Mill S 500 and Haas VM2. Perform hard milling and high-speed machining on hardened tool steels. Manufacture precision graphite electrodes for EDM processes. Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools. Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine cleanliness. Collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure manufacturability and accuracy. Follow company and OSHA safety policies. Qualifications Required: Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming. Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD files (SolidWorks preferred). Hands-on CNC mill setup and operation experience. Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
