This position is an awesome opportunity to hone your sales and interpersonal skills in a rapidly changing industry full of people excited to begin playing new games. We’re looking for someone that can mesh with our current team while adding their own passion, experience, and skills. Job Description:
As a Sales Consultant at Yottaquest, you will join the current team in providing courteous and excited service to customers. Our consultants aren’t just cashiers, and you won’t be either! We offer a hands on, direct customer experience and you will spend most of your time on the floor giving knowledgeable, targeted advice and recommendations to customers. Sales experience is required, but we will teach you new abilities and skills about the games industry through fun and illustrative training. Our ideal candidate may have an interest in games, but has a passion for people and service.
Compensation: $18 starting with performance and achievement based raises available for future growth
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service at all timesInterview customers to understand their requirements and shape personalized recommendationsOperate the register and assist in checking out customers and creating customer ordersMaintain a working knowledge of current and upcoming inventoryAnswer calls and aid customers over the phoneManage multiple customers at once through clear communicationPivot quickly when new policies are put into placeSupport the warehouse team in re-stocking and merchandisingProcess customers from beginning to end or make a deliberate and detailed hand-offComfortably call dozens of customers for their special orders and subscriptionsDevelop working relationships with customers and learn shopping habitsHelp prevent loss of merchandise and maintain a safe environmentClean sales floor, shelves, bathroom, and work stations as neededOther tasks as required featuring your own unique special skills (design, carpentry, programming etc.)
Requirements:
Resume with referencesCover letterAt least 18 years of ageHighschool Diploma or equivalentAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. and climb a ladder when required to stock shelvesAbility to work on your feet for ninety percent of the dayAbility to work flexible hours, nights, Saturdays and Mondays Ability to work alone and as part of an active teamAbility to handle large groups of people for long periods of timeAbility to manage confrontations and escalating issuesAttention to detail and the ability to multitaskPassion for being part of a team and collaborating with othersPassion for sales and engaging with customersAdept social skills for starting, navigating and pausing conversationsExcellent reading comprehension and mental math skillsComfortable with computers, technology, and troubleshootingEnjoy learning new things and adapting behaviors to industry shiftsAbility to work at least 30-40 hours a week3 years experience in a sales consultant or related position

Preferred:
5+ years experience in a sales consultant or similar positionExpertise in Microsoft Word, Excel
