    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Duties: Chair the Medical Audit Committee, ensuring quality standards are upheld. Consult with community medical providers to address and resolve patient care issues.     As a Psychiatrist with YesCare, you will:

    Key Responsibilities

    Community Standard Care: Deliver evidence-based clinical services, including sick calls, chronic care management, history and physicals, and emergency care. Visit the infirmary daily when applicable, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in patients' medical records. On-Call Support : Provide on-call services as required by the role. Formulary Adherence: Utilize the approved formulary for therapeutic regimens, documenting observations and justifications for non-formulary medication requests when necessary. Resource Utilization: Resolve patient care issues using in-house resources before initiating off-site referrals. Offer emergency treatment on-site and ensure proper responses to urgent situations. CPR Certification: Demonstrate competency in CPR techniques and related drug therapy as required by credentialing. Standards Compliance: Uphold policies and procedures to maintain medical care standards. Act as a resource for professional and non-professional personnel, providing guidance as needed. Staff Collaboration and Training: Attend and contribute to Medical Staff meetings. Conduct monthly in-service education sessions for staff as requested. Participate in quality care reviews and sponsor physician assistants or nurse practitioners as needed. Schedule Management: Notify the Site Medical Director or Health Services Administrator of any schedule changes. Assist in arranging coverage for extended absences. Quality Improvement: Engage in all quality improvement initiatives, including sentinel event reviews. Utilization Review: Participate actively in utilization review processes, adhering to proper procedures. Additional Duties: Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the Site Medical Director.

    Key Qualifications

    Medical Degree: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Licensure: Fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment. DEA Registration: Current and active. Preferred Credentials: Board-certified or board-eligible in primary care specialties such as Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Public Health, or Occupational Medicine. Experience: Administrative experience in corrections and/or managed healthcare delivery is a plus. Background Check: All candidates must successfully pass a background check. Security Clearance: Subject to initial and ongoing clearance requirements. Drug Screening: Required prior to employment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Duties: Chair the Medical Audit Committee, ensuring quality standards are upheld. Consult with community medical providers to address and resolve patient care issues. Supervise clinical services provided by professional and paraprofessional staff. Provide and ensure on-call services to support patient care needs. Review and approve clinical protocols, policies, procedures, and the medical disaster plan annually. Lead quality improvement initiatives, including patient complaints, infection control, peer review, and chart audits. Oversee referrals to external healthcare facilities, ensuring appropriateness, quality, and continuity of care. Serve as a resource and leader for all clinical staff, fostering collaboration and excellence. Participate in screening, interviewing, credential evaluation, and hiring of healthcare providers.
